This would be a great system, but colors are very limited. Also, most annoying is the smaller tip. It is way too small to be useful. Perhaps some need this, but I don't. I want a brush tip and a pointed fine tip--not a micro tip. Also the colors are very limited. Since you cant really mix colors with watercolor makers an artist needs at least 150 colors. For my work browns and greys are useless. Unlike the alcohol dye colors in the other S-N pens, these colors are brilliant, intense colors. Wish they had a wide selection of the non-organic (browns, greys, greens, etc) colors. Also, buying in sets is crazy. Almost double the price. Paying for colors you will never use.

On time for a birthday gift and well-received.

These markers are so vibrant and work so well with water. I bought just about every color pack.

I have a thing for spectrum noir pens, I have the illustrator set, the aqua set and the tri blend set and, try as I might, I can't fault them. At all. Usually some of the pens turn up dried out when I have brought other sets in the past, but these were perfect. The technique takes a little practice but when you get it right the results are really smooth. I reccomed using a really good quality 300gsm water colour paper or the full vibrancy of the watercolour inks is muted. Also if you have one use a glass media mat for mixing the inks, some really cool effects can be made. Have fun with these pens they are quite awesome. Amazon also sell the single pens if one of them runs out so you don't have to buy a whole pack.

While for the most part they were nice to use. The brush tip seemed weak and flimsy, though it is mostly stiff the tip of the brush side is flexible but this makes it seem easy to break with regular use. The colours are almost all nice, and don't appear very streaky the burgandy has a disgusting brown on top of it, like some pigment/dye separation, which is a shame. The colours react okay with water, they don't fully dissolve. The burgandy however when mixed with water activates mostly the brown pigment and can make a dark brown colour.

Love these markers. Had all the rest of the colours so needed to complete the set. Good quality, last for ages. Even with the conversation rate from sterling to euro was way cheaper buying through amazon. So delighted

Didnt feel like they were original as the nibs did not write the same as the real ones I had .
