Don't be skeptical... It works!
My television is about 80 feet from my A/V rack, and I was very skeptical about the picture quality of video over CAT 6. Boy was I wrong. The image is crisp, vivid and clear. In many ways surpassing that provided by amplified HDMI cables. I get a true 4k image with a 60hz refresh rate.I can't testify to the functionality of the IR passthrough or the ARC, whereas I haven't tried these functions. But given the quality of OREI devices I'm sure they work flawlessly. The single point power source is a great feature, meaning that the A/V rack can power both ends of the CAT6 cable.I will be buying a second one of these when we finish the television install in the sunroom, which is also about 80 feet away from the A/V rack.

Does not appear to transmit Dolby Vision
Unit seems stable, and remote power is great, but I could not get this to transmit Dolby Vision from an Apple TV 4K. HDR10 worked fine.

Works great.
Works great! And love that power supply can be supplied at either the supply or receiver side. Also great to have the extra HDMI output.

Had to return-Product seemed to have been previously purchased and returned.
The sender and receiver were scratched, no power adapter or instruction manual.

Excellent picture quality with the right cable
I keep my gaming PCs in the basement (due to size, power demands, and more than anything, heat), and then I run quality shielded CAT 7 cables (factory cables--not something I terminated myself) throughout the house, being careful to distance the wires from electrical lines and other network cables where possible. Whether or not the cabling arrangement is required is TBD, but the setup absolutely works for me. For this device, I use a 100ft run, and the results are great.I've tried YouTube and locally hosted video files and didn't notice any difference compared to watching via a conventional HDMI cable. There's no apparent lag and absolutely no artifacts or compromises on image quality. I currently only push 4:4:4 1080p, though I hope to upgrade to 4k shortly. The audio extract capability comes in handy, as my upstairs setup largely bypasses the TV, which this facilitates. I didn't use the IR or serial connectivity, though if there were USB, I'd definitely use that (this is more of a TV solution than a PC one). In either use case, the HDMI pass through is much appreciated.I definitely recommend this unit, especially if you're looking for video only (not USB). I've also used fiber optic HDMI cables that work every bit as well, so you may want to consider those (they can be thinner and are definitely less sensitive to electrical interference/noise).
