The Opening of the Way: A Practical Guide to the Wisdom Teachings of Ancient Egypt

Everything in this book related to the spiritual heart and opening it. No one recommend or told me about this book. I was not even interested in Egyptian mysticism or spirituality?Then I found this public talk given by Revered Master Shri Parthasarathi Rajagopalachari in Zurich, Switzerland, on the 18th July, 1989 called; “Way of Heart” I could totally relate and felt like it was me talking, the only difference was, I hadn't found this heart knowledge from a living Master. Then a thought came to me; what about the great past Masters works I studied?Do a search for Way of the Heart and sahajmarg it's worth reading...I had meditated and studied Swami Vivekananda’s words for years, I then did a search on his Complete Works for the word heart and the real spiritual heart of his messages came through loud and clear.I had been studying Bhagavan Sri Ramana Maharshi’s work also, I felt the same inner urge and did a search for the word heart and found the spiritual heart of his messages in David Godman’s excellent book; “The Teachings of Sri Ramana Maharshi, Be as You Are” then I found the same thing in the “Collected Works of Sri Ramana Maharshi” and Conscious Immortality Conversations with Sri Ramana Maharshi Recorded by Paul Brunton and Munagala Venkataramiah.I found the spiritual heart of The Bhagavad Gita as well doing the same thing…“I am the Self in the heart of every creature, Arjuna, and the beginning, middle, and end of their existence” (10:20).The very heart of the Gita’s message is to see the Lord in every creature and act accordingly. ~ Eknath Easwaran The Bhagavad Gita (Classics of Indian Spirituality)In Jesus’s Sermon on the Mount, He says; “Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.” It talks about all the blessings people will get but only the pure in heart will see God.What about;The Heart Sūtra - a famous sūtra in Mahāyāna Buddhism. Its Sanskrit title, Prajñāpāramitāhṛdaya, literally means "The Heart of the Perfection of Understanding." The Heart Sūtra is often cited as the best-known and most popular Buddhist scripture of all.I have statues of Buddha where his right hand is over his spiritual heart area.I found the heart all through “Healing with Form, Energy, And Light: The Five Elements In Tibetan Shamanism, Tantra, And Dzogchen” by Tenzin W. RinpocheThen I found Sahaj Marg, meaning "natural path" or "simple way," but I’m not into the whole group thing and have realized that the Soul is the real Guru, it just needs to become awakened.So why did I get pointed to “The Opening of the Way: A Practical Guide to the Wisdom Teachings of Ancient Egypt” by Isha Schwaller de Lubicz and also to a Doctor named Doug Lehrer (see his YouTube videos). Because I need to heal my body of dis-ease and get rid of very negative past impressions or Vāsanā’s - behavioral tendencies or karmic imprints which influence my present behavior or patterns called Sanskaras – repeating negative impressions that influence present behavior from Vasana’s“The Opening of the Way: A Practical Guide to the Wisdom Teachings of Ancient Egypt” explains how all this works and how and what our organs are and how they affect us. It gives examples from different religions like, Christianity, Taoism, Buddhism and from the ancient Egyptians. The great thing is it explains everything as well as what can go wrong and offers a simple Heart Mediation to repair the body, soul and mind. This is a system that balances the body and organs and gets rid of dis-ease, while illuminating the Soul and working with the ego and the Automaton, the reactive lower animal self. The best thing is it offers a solo path (no groups, additional books or training to purchase, memberships or a divine teacher or guru, just your own Heart and Soul) my heart says, this is the real opening of the way… You can do what I did and join secret societies, churches, temples,cults, collect mountains of books and information, follow teachers and gurus, listen to what other people think, pay for classes and seminars or get this one book and learn it and make the simple practices in it an every day habit.Opening the spiritual Heart will destroy the negative Vāsanā’s and their Sanskara patterns of behavior that reside in the liver. This makes SO much sense. If your here checking out this book, look at the other reviews, then buy this one book and learn it and live it everyday of your life and it will become a GREAT Life or you can keep entertaining your mind, following the herd, waste money and hopefully not end up mentally messed up (like I was), pissed off hating life because nothing seems to work (like most people) or in a permanent state of chaos thinking all those cool paranormal, mystical experiences mean your something special and you want to teach the world (yeah I thought that too once).

This is one of the best books I have ever found, that finally fully explains the ancient Egyptian spiritual philosophy and practice, especially with the correlation between the physical body, as a microcosmic reflection of the macrocosmic universe and all that there is. It offers a unique explanation of the spiritual function of all of the organs and systems of the body, with the intelligence of the heart, how they correspond, and connect us to the infinite, the affect of imbalances, and how to correct them, and use them to bring us into an enlighten state of being, in perfect harmony, so that our divine self, connected to the all can be consciously interacted with, and affect the physical world to manifest what we desire that is in keeping with our greatest good. It is surprisingly easy to read & concise, while correlating the wisdom of ancient Egypt, with that of ancient Chinese esoteric wisdom, astrology, cosmology, modern Physics & Medical knowledge. It also explains the deeper hidden meaning behind ancient Egyptian pictographs. I wish I did not have so much going on that I need to deal with, as I hate to put it down, but fortunately the chapters are short, so I can read a bit a time, which is probably for the best way to assimilate and retain all she reveals, because I cannot recall reading a book where there was so much said with so few words. I am astounded with every page I read, there is a big Ah Ha, so that is what that is all about. I would highly recommend it.

I recommend this book to anyone on their spiritual journey. It puts a lot of things into perspective. It shows the relationship between the body's organs and spirit. There's so much valuable info in this book, too much to mention.

I enjoyed this book. The two copies I ordered were clean and in proper shape- as they were brand new.

You have to be interested in Egyptology to understand the information in this book. Be patient...it is worth the effort.

Any works by the Schwaller de Lubicz family are a worthy read (and Lucy Lamy's illustrations a worthy viewing) and necessary to take the modern reader out of our limited "right brain" mindset and into another vision entirely of our world. Very few "Western" scholars can achieve what Isha has presented - so I also recommend Jan Assmann's "The mind of Egypt".

i have read dozens of books on spirituality and esoteric subjects. From Levi to Manly Hall, from Steiner to Aivanhov...and nothing is as concise and profound and utterly simple as de Lubicz in this book. Because what is the point of stacking up knowledge during your life time if you don't "live" the right way? The author shows us that Way. Without religious concepts or tedious historical narratives, she gets to the point. Trust her.

Isha is amazing with her words. Idea's and concepts that ive read many times before were made MUCH more clear through her words. This book really clarified some things for me. I read this alongside Rudolf Steiner's "How to know higher worlds" which was a great complimentary book. Just awesome.

brilliant book. When i first got it, it was just information in my hands and explained aspects in one spiritual journey. didnt really appeal but as more as i got into my energy work and meditation and just deep diving in the subconscious this book has been proved useful. This is a great book for people who are transforming. must have must have

This is an excellent book, worth every penny spent. This author is brilliant, if you are interested in, authentic none biast, culturally correct, works based upon the Kemetic system known as Egyptology (Greek)
