These amazingly beautiful olive wood tongs make me proud to serve a salad! They are very well-made, smooth, sturdy, and the wood has such a lovely grain. I've had boring plastic tongs for years; now, I'll make more healthy meals just so that I can let these beauties show themselves off!!

I gave this set to my daughter who was very picky and she loved them ! She wanted to clean, simple wooden salad servers these fit the bill!

The packaging is super cute, so my initial reaction was very good. I was disappointed though because of the "made in China" sticker. The description stated the set is made of "Italian Olive Wood", and it may in fact be Italian wood, but they are made in China. I will say though, the quality appears to be pretty good so far. The set comes unfinished and there are instructions (on the cute Thank You card from the owners), for applying oil prior to use (olive oil works fine). I washed and applied olive oil and used them for salad. They are a very nice size and shape. Also, I had red cabbage in the salad and expected the cabbage to color the utensils because they are unfinished but it DID NOT! So, overall, I am pleased with the product, despite the fact I was initially disappointed that they are made in China, not Italy. Packaging makes it cute for a gift, too. Four stars because of the slightly deceptive "Italian Olive Wood", made in China.

These are a nice set of salad tools. The have a smooth finish with a great feel and weight to them. I love the bag they are received with as they would make a great gift presentation, or you can keep them for yourself. The reason I took a star away was the grain pattern between the spoon and the fork. They are so different they don't really match and for that reason they make better serving tools then a salad set.

Only hand wash, which we did before use.When purchasing I didn’t see that they recommended oiling them. You can use olive oil though.Expected the color to be more rich from the picture, but the oil helps. Got a little messy oiling and left them to dry a little bit.Very lightweight, was also expecting them to be heavier, but overall as advertised and good. Not like they have to be heavy for salads.
