Greenland Home Durango 100% Cotton Reversible Quilt Set, 3-Piece King/Cal King, Earth

This quilt was my SECOND purchase from this company/brand. My first quilt was purchased a while ago and has been in regular use. It has been washed and dried many times, and is holding up beautifully, which is why I bought another.Both quilts are king-sized and used as bedspreads on queen beds, with a generous fabric overhang all around the bed. They make perfect bedspreads when using the next size up!There was no odd odor when opening the package. The fabric is cotton, but is not thin. Quilt is well constructed, with no loose threads or crooked designs. The fit and colors portrayed in pictures are accurate. This is a mid-weight quilt with NO loft/stuffing, and can be used year-round (I add a thermal cotton blanket for winter).

I received this yesterday, so have not washed it, but it is 100 percent cotton, so I wouldn't put it in a hot dryer because it most likely would draw up. I specifically wanted a Greenland Home product. I've bought a quilt from them before and like their products. This one is well-made. I have gray curtains I didn't want to replace and decided this fit the bill. It's beautiful and gives the room a boost of color, but it's not overwhelming or too bright. It's also lightweight, which suits us. My spouse gets too hot under a comforter and I always need a blanket, so I keep a blanket on the end of the bed for me and toss it over my side when I need it. I will definitely put a blanket on the bed when the weather's cold again, but it works perfectly for both of us. One note we have a 14-inch memory foam mattress, which makes the mattress sit higher from the floor. I bought a Cal King (and not all of the Greenland Home quilts come in that size) and am glad I did. The top of the quilt adequately covers the mattress and the very top of the dust ruffle. If you have a thick mattress, I would suggest opting for the Cal King, as opposed to the king. The king would have been too short, but this fits fine. I also bought a regular king-size ( in another pattern) for a queen bed we have and it fits like a bedspread. That bed sits very high, so a queen would have been much too short. I do not plan to put this in the dryer at all. I'll hang it outside instead.

I purchased the twin size to use on an extra bed in our home. I love that's it's cotton and quilted. It's the perfect weight for fall and spring, but in the winter we add an extra blanket. (Depending on how cold your house is in the summer, it may be a bit too heavy.) The colors are on the darker side, but they are rich and beautiful and can be accented with many other colors.I love this quilt and am so glad I bought it. Highly recommend!

Good quality item. I just wish it was warmer but it looks nice on the bed for my elderly dad who enjoys that color scheme.

It is not very easy to find bedspreads that will fit a masculine themed bedroom that are earth tones. This spread fit the bill! The colors are so nice and goes so well with the dark and natural wood tones in the room. It brightens up the space without making it feminine, yet with other decor options in the room itself it could be made more feminine. Very versatile look. My Grandson says it has a ‘70’s vibe which he loves!

Although I really like the design, unfortunately, fabric fades and stitching falls apart sooner than I would like to.

The Durango set is the one I needed because I had an older set that I had found at a thrift store that was happy to find this one as it does have the matching Shams they were plentiful and had enough space to have a very plush look it definitely is cheaper than you would think in cost because this set it looks like it cost way more you can always buy a bed skirt to put at the bottom base, so you can have it more flouncy if that's what you're into.I'm very happy because I actually have a picture that matches this set perfectly I will post the picture soon.I'm happy with my purchase as you will be as well and always buy larger that way you can tuck it's better to have more than to have less we bought the king and it worked for us...

I purchased this for my son's dorm room bed. We have similar 100% cotton quilts and this one is almost identical in feel. Most quilts have microfiber but I do not like that. Although it is not too soft, it has the cozy feel that my son loves. It is lightweight but not thin to my standards. Love it!Note: The quilt needs to be washed before use because it does have a starch like feel. Once it is washed it feels great!
