Best thing ever!
I returned this one, but only because it was an accidental duplicate, I kept one of them. I canโt say enough good about this walker, I love it so much! I have a bad knee that works fine until it suddenly gives out and I canโt put any weight on it for a while. It is hard using a cane, but this walker lets me keep walking without a hitch, I just put more weight on my arms until my knee comes back. My husband says I walk a lot more upright and without a limp, too. It seems like I am able to walk a lot farther than with a cane, for sure with a LOT less pain! It took Hubby and me about 10 minutes to assemble. The little basket works beautifully for carrying my purse, and when I pick up items in a store, I just put them on top of the seat and put my purse in the basket. I always thought transitioning to a walker as I grew older would be a real pain and a loss of freedom, but this walker makes it easy. I donโt mind the hassle of putting it in the van, it is well worth it to be able to walk a distance instead of just hobbling the shortest distance possible. It does NOT do well on gravel, though, it is definitely for smooth surfaces. I donโt even like walking on tar with it. I had thought I would use this to take walks, but the only walks I will take with this is at the mall or the gymโs walking track. Still it makes my life much easier than using a cane. I had a nurse stop me a week ago, she hadnโt seen an upright walker but had heard about them. She noticed how much more upright I was walking compared to someone with a traditional walker. If you are thinking about getting this, JUST DO IT! DO IT NOW! You wonโt regret it! It has given me a part of my life back that I thought was overโฆ

Best upright walker ever!!!!
I had the traditional type walker that I used periodically, but after knee surgery and having to use all the time for a while, the handles made both my hands and my back hurt from having to lean forward to both push it and keep it far enough in front of me that it didnโt bump my knee. I already have major back issues and DJD in my hands along with arthritis, so my other walker was killing me. I saw one of these at a class reunion and told myself I needed to have one of these instead of the traditional one so as not to put all the pressure on my hands and back. I didnโt want to spend money out of pocket, figured it should be covered by insurance. Of course all my insurance wanted to cover was the traditional one even after my doctor wrote a note saying I needed the stand up straight ones, so I just decided to forget it. After the knee surgery and it killing both my back and my hands I broke down and ordered this one. OH MY GOSH!!! What a difference!!! I wish I would have invested in one of these years ago!! Itโs so much easier on both my back (from not having to lean forward and over) and my hands (since youโre supported by your forearms), I wanted to kick myself for not getting one years ago. They only thing Iโm not quite sure about is having to transport it. Iโve kept this one at home and used the smaller one for my car, but I absolutely hate having to use the other one. Iโll have to update this review once Iโve actually folded it up and put it in the car to go somewhere. I know itโs going to be a little heavier because of the extra parts for your arms and hands, but if I can manage, I know it will be worth it. The maneuverability and ease of use AND the strength of quality this one has is far superior to all the others. Donโt wait like I did if youโre sitting on the fence. Itโs worth every penny. Your back and hands will thank you for it!!!

Not as heavy as it looks
I ordered an upright because I got tired of looking at the floor when I was walking. I assembled it myself and it was a pretty simple job. I didn't have to adjust the wheel braking at all. The hand brakes, that is the handles, are a little tight and I will probably experiment with untightening the bolts through the handles. The product appears to be brand new, untouched, but there is a sticker on the box that says it is a returned item. Also, there was a printed note in the box that said something like "Thank you for giving me another life". I was not aware that I was to receive an opened box return. I thought I was getting a brand new never opened item. I've been racking my brain trying to figure out why it was returned. This really is a brand new item. I live in a very large, 1400 resident, independent living apartment complex. Tonight I used the upright instead of my regular rollator to walk down to the mail room ( 1/4 mile, each way, all indoors). My only complaint is that after about 5 minutes I started to feel pressure on the muscles above my shoulder blades. I'm guessing that it's just the new use of those muscles and that the distress will go away as the muscles strengthen. Walking was easier, I was able to have a normal stride and my quadriceps in my thighs did not get as tired as when I was bent over using the normal rollator. I am also concerned about stability if, somehow, I should lose my balance and tip sideways. The unit is pretty tall, all the settings except for the wheel support heights are at maximum length. That raises the center of gravity. Those little projections on the rear wheels to aid the lifting of the front to go over bumps is a good idea. I found it useful a couple of times. But mostly, one has to be aware of where one is going and not plunge headlong into a big bump. After several more days of use, I am pleased to say that the discomfort in my shoulder blades did subside, and surprisingly, when standing at rest without the walker, I'm finding it easier to pull my body into an erect position. Unfortunately, it's only temporary; I still need the rollator to walk. Oh, I have an observation for the person who said the brake handles don't lock. As I said above, I found them very tight, but they do move. You have to push them away from you, towards the front, using the heel of your hand. I tried loosening the screws, but they are extremely tight and I don't want to strip the screwdriver slots. I'm going to try a small spray of WD40 oil. That's a very minor flaw. The unit is really worthy of the 5 stars I am now giving it.

Harder for elderly to operate. At least for us.
This walker was good quality and fairly easy to assemble. However, it was really hard for my elderly dad to operate. It didn't turn well for him and was hard for him to get around with it. So we had to return it. We thought since my dad's tall it would be good for him, but that wasn't the case for him. He's about 6'2" and we had the height set at the highest notch for him. It was very difficult for me to open it back up after folding it. It did get a bit easier after a few times, but it was still hard. It's also quite heavy and impossible for my dad to lift, and hard for me also, trying to get it in the car.

Little bit too tall for short 5'-4" lady
Very nice, well built walker. But seat and arm rests about 2 inches too tall for 5'-4" lady. Little bit on the heavy side. Arm pads help to take strain off shoulders, and standing up instead of bending over helps relieve pain in lower back. 88 year old lady likes it better than her standard walker. Well worth the low price.

So so
This is a good machine. It works wonders. Itโs just that itโs difficult putting it in a car so if you donโt have someone that have a truck or a SUV or van itโs for home use only.

Excellent idea, great customer service!
I love that I can stand up with this walker instead of hunching over! The irony is part of the reason I need a walker is long term back issues and hunching walkers aggravated that. But helped prevent falls. Now I can have the safety without the additional irritation. Pretty color too. Loved it so much my husband ended up buying the heftier one. Two months in I started to sit down and felt a pop. Thought the seat wasn't fully closed. The weld had popped. Built well enough that even with that, I didn't fall. Contacted customer service with details and pictures and received almost immediate response! No weeks of back and forth. Just stepped up and made it right! Within a week I received a replacement. That is so incredibly rare these days! So I totally appreciate the company as well as the product and have already recommended them to several others. Plus people see me using it and say "wow, what a great idea" and ask how to get one. Only two issues and they are not this brand but an overall walker issue often. Wheels don't handle grass and uneven surfaces well so you have to be creative and careful outside. This one does have the little levers near the wheels to help tip it up. Difficult for me to use due to balance issues but at least they're there. Also transporting a walker can be a pain and these are tall enough that fitting them in a car is rough. I get around that by keeping a smaller, lighter, hunching walker just for the car. Big "ahhhh" when I get home to this one but at least it's something for out and about. Thanks Elenker!

Exceptionally Great Upright Walker
I ordered this walker because of 2 day delivery, it took 6 days, not sellers fault but FedEx. I read reviews prior to purchase. Honestly the 1 and 2 stars don't get it. This is the first walker, especially upright I like. Bought for my 94 year old mother, who's walker has her bent over and she lays on her forearms to control which has caused her to fall alot. Neuropathy, arthritis, etc. and screws and plate in her back. Her initial test drive was very positve. The arm rests, brake handles and forearm adjustments were great along with the standing upright ability. The seat handles provided extra support for getting up and sitting onto furniture. The whole walker can be broken down quickly and enough to put in trunks, back seats and so forth without tools as long as it is done by someone who is physically capable and can take a few extra minutes. Arthritis can be a problem and picking up, as it is 29 lbs. The reason for 4 stars is the shipping stating 2 days for prime customer and it took 6 days fault of FedEx to receive (use UPS, same charges and faster ground service). I am actually going to buy one for myself and keep for later usage. I'm 68 with bad knees and back. It's adjustable for short 5'4" and me 5'11". Oh she is extremely happy and has used the other style for years and didn't realize that this was affordable. If it goes bad I'll write about it. Otherwise Me :)
