Pretty but barely functional
I bought this with the full intent of using this as an incense burner for charcoal tablets. I bought this specifically for the venting holes so that I could keep the lid shut, and have the smoke come out of the holes (I remember something similar in the Roman Catholic Church as a child). This doesn’t work as there isn’t sufficient air flow to allow oxygen to continue the combustion/heat cycle. I put down the lid after getting the incense going, and within minutes the charcoal got so suffocated with smoke that it nearly went out and most resins still intact. When I leave the lid up, it works fine as a simple charcoal tablet burner, but beware that the top lid is quite top heavy. I was trying to monkey around with different positions of the top to at least see the smoke pour out of those tiny holes and it almost tipped over with a glowing charcoal tablet because the top is so heavy. This is more effective as a decorative piece than a functional piece for me. Maybe I am using it wrong or have a false impression about the holes, but I was disappointed it didn’t do as I had expected. 3 stars just to be kind as it looks nice.

It Gets Extremely hot and the incense goes out wit
If you close the lid, the fire goes out and it gets extremely hot. There is no oxygen feed from the bottom. The incense goes out very quickly and incompletely burned. Maybe if I drill an oxygen feed on the side and put it on a plate to catch any wayward sparks...I am still trying to figure out a way to use it. No included instructions. Maybe it is only decorative..
