The dress is beautiful!

This is the PERFECT evening dress! I spent nearly 10 months searching for a pretty, simple and flattering dress to wear to my niece's wedding. I would never have anticipated that this would present such a challenge! The main problem is that there basically are NO styles suitable and becoming for older women. There appear to be two extremes: either shift or sheath dresses which cling and reveal everything you do not want revealed, or 'fit and flare' dresses which have a nice top and waist but crinoline puffy skirts which make any woman look FAT. Then, there are the problems with plunging necklines, slits up the legs, low backs, etc. I am 60 years old. For reference I am 5' 1" and weigh 118 lbs. My measurements are 34-28-36. I am about 8 pounds heavier than way back in college. I have always worn a size 6 petite. That is another issue; it is exceedingly difficult to find petite dresses that aren't designed for women in their 20s and 30s. This dress looks good and feels good. With low heels (2 inches) the hem is the perfect length; another plus. This dress did not require any alterations, AND I purchased it at a bargain price! The jewel neckline is just right and the back comes down in a V, but not too low. It has a nice long zipper and is easy to get on and off, not like some of the other dresses I tried. One, I struggled to get out of for twenty minutes in my bathroom. The bodice is pretty, decorated, just lightly with sequins and the skirt flows nicely with a classic A line hem. It has a chiffon layer over the polyester layer. One reviewer complained that the material was shoddy. But MOST clothes these days are not made from gorgeous, expensive silks, satins, real velvets, etc. That was a generation(s) ago. And, the color is lovely. Originally, I was looking for a burgundy/cranberry red dress which is my favorite color and looks best on me, but the 'plum' color is exquisite. One reviewer described it as more like 'merlot wine'. It's more purple than wine color. I couldn't be happier with my purchase! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

This dress was used as a Mother if the Bride dress. My mother looked wonderful. She's short so the dress was almost floor length for her.

This gown was perfect for my 5 ft and 115 lb frame. The 6 Petite length was also perfect with my 4 inch heeled shoes. I added a belt that gave a little bit of silver on the waist line. Belt was also bought on Amazon.

This dress is very comfortable, and elegant for this woman “of a certain age” and a little heavier than she should be. I like that it offers full coverage, didn’t break the bank, and looks very nice for my upcoming cruise I will be seeking the help of a professional to raise the length a little. It hit the floor with no heels. I am 5’6”, and if I wore a heel, it would be fine. However, I plan to wear flats
