Not great in the kitchen
I got these for when I use the mandolin and it did protect my finger BUT once it gets a slice then the "pieces" of the glove end up in my food. I think these would be great for the yard but it's not why I bought them. I will say though I bought these more than 10 years ago and I still have them!

Great quality!
The media could not be loaded. Ā Used these to protect my hands when cutting glass sheets and mirrors, seem to be doing the trick so far! Good quality

Safety Pays; These Work; Can be Sanitized
Butchers and sausage makers know that Kevlar gloves are a good idea. Coated Kevlar gloves are an even better idea: the sealed palm side can be sanitized more easily than a mesh. I have somewhat small hands for a man and the medium size fit me well. Bigger fellas need to order larger sizes. When armoured with these gloves, I have had no difficulty in holding or controlling knives sized for breaking down carcases or for boning. If a hand saw bounces when starting a cut, these gloves will save the day. I wear them when using my commercial deli-slicer to cut home-cured slabs of bacon to my preference. Don't expect them to replace your own careful attention when using cutting tools and be especially vigilant when using power cutting tools, where a woven glove might bunch up or where powerful cutting forces might triumph over the material. These are designed to deal with minor slippages. Interested persons might notice that professional factory butchers who break down large carcasses use gloves that give protection almost up to the arm pit. Those gloves are made using similar materials and even using coated stainless steel rings but are designed to protect more veins and arteries.I have ordered these before and they hold up under occasional use but the vinyl begins to flake off after two years. They are still my favourite style of Kevlar glove since the uncoated full-link knit gloves I also own trap meat scraps and are more difficult to clean. Hunters and home butchering hobbyists will like these gloves. I fall into that category and I do.

Very impressed.
I've been a pocketknife whittler since 1994 (I'm currently whittling a red tree squirrel as you can see by the photo šæļø). I recently decided to try using a glove on both hands instead of just the one holding the whittling project, as sometimes you have to cut towards your other, non protected thumb etc. I'm super careful, but you never know. And being a diabetic, I thought it wise to try two gloves. I bought a pair I thought were like what I'd been using, with no rubber coating, but they are SLICK! Something you do not want when trying to hold a knife steady. I went back online and saw these. I figured I'd give them a try though I wasn't sure how I'd like the rubber coating. I'm blown away. I will be ordering another pair to have on hand (pun intended š) for when this pair wears out. Very happy whittler here.UPDATE: Oh wow! They're using my above photo in their teaser video here! That is so awesome! I'm honored! š

Great for a diabetic hands to prevent injury.
I bought this as a gift for someone with diabetes. The reason: diabetics are at risk for slow healing of cuts with potential of long term neuropathy after healing. Also infection can be extremely hard to get rid of. So, to save this person the risk for cutting a finger while prepping vegatables, meats, fruits, etc. in the kitchen with a very sharp knife, I got them these. The recipient said they were comfortable, and he saw how they were needed, after all, to save him from unnecessary cuts. He did say he plans to use them every time in the kitchen. So my purchase was worthwhile and Iām glad I got someone a gift that will prevent, if used, unforseen outcomes from a cut to the finger that could have been avoided. Most men wouldnāt think to buy themselves something like this, as āIām careful and I rarely cut myselfā, but better to be very safe then very sorry. I am happy I chose these particular gloves, as there are a multitude of choices available to choose from. For the price, ($10), they were a good deal for the quality.

Decent quality
I bought these gloves to use with a slicer so I donāt cut my fingers. Iāve had them for a number of years, and they hold up well. The rinse clean. Iāve never put them through a washing machine - Iāve always hand-washed them. And Iāve not cut myself yet!

Would not recommend.
As as former military officer, the quality of Kevlar gloves I am familiar with, are of a much higher standard. Perhaps I expected too much.

Good protection for the price
I like these, they've saved my hands several times while grinding knife blades. Would like to see a product with more knuckle protection though.
