Loads of games, cool retro feel and great fun!
Great product! There are loads of games of course (too many if anything, but if you have a favourite from the past, you should be able to find it). The sound is absolutely fine from the internal speaker (a headphone jack would have been nice, but at the price, you can't grumble. The battery is a BL4, used in mobile phones and provides several hours of gameplay. The connection to a TV works brilliantly (if you have the correct ports on your tv of course). But I couldn't get the additional joypad / two player mode to work. But I only bought this product as a pick & play / occasional toy.Well worth it! And I love the retro styling of the case.Note: High scores are only kept in games for the duration of the session. High Scores are forgotten when you power off the unit.

Decent handheld, lots of classic 8-bit games, but missing the AV cable
A decent handheld gaming device similar to a Gameboy but chunkier. It has lots of classic 8-bit games and even more clones/ripoff games. However it is missing the red and white AV cable to connect to an (older style) of TV. The AV cable is mentioned in the product description but not exactly promised, but the box which arrives mentions the AV cable as included, although it is in fact missing.

Doesn’t work
Received this today for my 3 year old who was looking forward to this. Unfortunately not working and just shows blank white screen with sound but no picture. Very disappointed. Would give no stars if this was a option.

Pretty good
OK. The reviews that treat this console like some toy for toddlers and very small children is a bit misleading. I could see toddlers and small children getting bored very quickly as this is a console with some quite challenging games from the 8 bit era. There are some good games installed and most seem to run OK. Some have problems with the emulation and the screen is choppy, others like Ducktales basic controls did not seem available. So you will have to accept that out of the 420 games on this thing, a good few of them won't be playable. The D-pad is OK and the buttons OK on initial use but they make sacrifices to build quality to keep prices down so at this price you accept that it won't last forever. Usually with these cheap models underneath the buttons is a rubberised plastic membrane which wears out and renders the buttons useless. The better and more expensive models have spring based buttons - but this is a sacrifice you make with price. It's a smaller form factor than other models at the same price which I like. Battery life isn't the greatest, but all these games consoles have this issue and you could upgrade the mobile phone battery it comes with to a better one if you wanted. The navigation to find the games is not great - you have to scroll down a list of 420 games which is tedius if your game is in the middle, but most consoles at this price have a similar thing. There's some decent games installed, someFor the money it's reasonable, it's what I expected and seems a bit better and smarter looking than alternatives at this price.
