Healing Adaptogen for Stress & Fatigue Relief♡
Schisandra berry is a wonderful adaptogenic herb with cognitive benefits. It's great for your health and immune system and it helps heal chronic health conditions like chronic fatigue syndrome/M.E. and fibromyalgia. This fine powder is a tan-brown hue. It can be diluted in water or blended with other herbs for a stress-busting, anxiety relieving, energy boosting supplement. I used this schisandra powder recently in my Anti-Fatigue Tonic supplement capsules. I blended in organic maca root extract, astragalus extract, mucuna pruriens extract, fo-ti extract and rehmannia extract. It's fantastic for healing and treating adrenal fatigue and liver and kidney damage due to medications and viral infections. Overall, this is a good herbal product that helps relieve stress and improves your health.

Love it!
I have now purchased twice and will continue to. Absolutely great price for the amount you get! I love the taste, slightly sweet. I mix it in my coffee in the morning, it mixes well in hot liquid with a handheld frother. I have noticed after about a week, I feel more grounded and calm. I miss it when I run out and notice I’m a bit more uptight without it. The health benefits are a huge plus too!

Contains maltodextrin…thats bad
The product appears to be of reasonable quality but contains an additive. Maltodextrin is linked to gut and microbiome issues. If youre getting this as a healthy supplement you can find better. Tried to return it but was not eligible to return for some reason

Top quality product in a package that has some flaws
The Schisandra Chinesis fruit has been used in traditional ancient physical treatment in china as a means to improve performance of several inner organs, albeit the fact that western medicine finds no evidence to support the idea, more and more of this so called adaptogens are finding adepts, specially amongst those prone to stress, high levels of cortisol, and those with vision related problems, usually in conjunction with other herbs or fruits. I have personally found them to be very effective in my stress management and vision improving strategy as recommended some years ago by nutritionist for a retina related problem. It seems the overall effect would be helping to strengthen the capilar irrigatory system in the long use. The package clearly states that is a nutritional supplement only. This extract seems strong, a little spicy as it should, and with good color and aroma. The problem with this particular brand is in the packaging. Firstly, the package is strong, durable, is metal/plastic to keep the contents in good state, however the closing plastic inner strips are so slim that a little of the powder can get in the middle and prevent any form of physical closure; After dusting (product powder) it out with a piece of paper, it kind of closes but not very firmly so it cannot be stored horizontally anymore. Secondly, the package does not include any measure (plastic spoon) so you have to have one handy. (Maybe this is expected as the brand is for "Bulk" packaging and they say you have to have your own measuring spoon.) And thirdly, the package is missing the graphics or photograph of the actual fruit the extract is made of, as it was expected since the ones on the product page do have them. That sounds as minor but when you have several packages of several things, it always helps having the picture of what you're getting without having to read the rear description. Nevertheless, I always put the quantity I need for some weeks intake in some other small plastic recipients so I don't have to open continuously the original packaging.

Good quality adaptogen!
I am just starting my journey with adaptogens. Before I took only Ashwaganda and I have noticed a big difference in my mood so I have ordered 250 grams of Schisandra, for tryout. It tastes ok, has this woody-fruity flavor to it. I mix a half of a teaspoon with water, and drink it but it would probably taste better to mix it in a shake since it dissolves pretty well. I am waiting to see the results after I take it regularly for a longer period of time, but so far I feel great and I don't feel any side effects.

Great for stress!
Schisandra seems to reduce the elevation of cortisol that comes from stress. It is often paired with rhodiola rosea and with panax ginseng, both of which have complimentary adoptogenic effects. Schisandra has been shown to accumulate in the brain, heart kidney and liver of rats, which are the same organs that traditional medicine has said it benefits. It can help with memory and learning when these cognitive functions are impaired by stress. It also seems to be able to downregulate inflammation in glial cells of the brain, suggesting it might be helpful for Alzheimer's Disease. Based on animal experiments, Schisandra seems slightly increase the chance of surviving life-threatening heatstroke. By the same mechanism it may be able to delay or lessen the severity of heat exhaustion caused by exertion in high heat, and perhaps offer an increase tolerance to heat stress from ongoing exposure to high temperatures, such as during a heat wave. Schisandra has a cardioprotective effect for heart muscle, and seems to increase blood flow and nitric oxide slightly. Finally, Schisandra seems to beneficially increase anti-oxidative enzymes. The powder should probably be dosed at 1 to 3 grams per day. Schisandra is traditionally contraindicated during pregnancy. It might reduce the clearing of some prescription drugs, so consult your doctor about possible harmful interactions.
