I have a few of their day packs. Now that my daughter is 2 and really wants to copy mom and dad, but also wants to help and be self sufficient, I decided it was time to start looking for something she could carry. Many kiddo packs are just Chinese garbage, This product however is very well made but in smaller scale. It also comes with the 1/2 sized (1.5L) bladder and bite valve. It's JUST small enough that my daughter can carry it and not have it hit the back of her legs like a small adult pack would and big enough that she should be able to use it for years to come and even into school years. I got this one on close out pricing which is reasonable. The price for the new version is a bit steep but it does come with the bladder and it's quality so it may be worth the cost still. You can see in the pictures that it is also small enough that you can put the sternum strap from your own pack through the straps on the Scout and front carry it when your little one tires out. :) ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great for kids *by S***D on Reviewed in the United States on August 18, 2013* Bought this just prior to a two week family vacation for my 8 year old daughter. We made several hikes during the vacation and having the kids carry their own water, extra clothes and snacks was great! No more complaining about being thirsty or hungry or constantly wanting to get items out of my pack or putting them away. Really makes them part of the hike and teaches them to be responsible. Going to continue to use this as a day pack for her girl scout events. Definitely better than the standard Camelbaks that just hold water and have a couple small pouches.Tip- buy extra bite valves, especially for younger kids. Getting the hang of using the valves takes some time for them and they bite holes through the valves. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great little packs! *by M***X on Reviewed in the United States on January 20, 2016* Great little back pack. We haven't used yet out hiking but my kids all wear theirs around the house since they got them. No one is dehydrated here!We have however hiked with others that have their kids in these packs which is why I got them. They are large enough to even fit a little pack lunch in. We can't wait to test them out on the trail. So far they've been nice and easy to clean. We bought one in blue and two in purple for our kids who are 7, 5 and almost 3 . Both are nice colors.
