Im looking for a strong falsk that wont leak, rust or break. Is this for me and will this fit in my cowboy boots?

I cannot say that it won't ever break if you put it in your boot, but It will most definitely fit. It's stainless, so it won't rust. I ski with it and it has not leaked so far. I have several and love them.

Is the cap and hinge made of stainless steel also?

I’m pretty sure the cap and hinge were chromed plastic.

No-I think it has a silicone seal which may not work with lighter fluid-You may want to inquire with zippo in regards to the safety of lighter fluid storage. Definitely a great little flask though!!
