Globe Electric 44777 Aleyna 2-Light Outdoor Flush Mount Ceiling Light, Matte Black, Clear Glass Shade, Bulb Not Included

For a few months now, I've been on a hunt for flush mount ceiling lights to replace the basic ones throughout my home. When I came across this light, I was all too happy to give it a try considering that both the style and the price were right for me (or at least the price was, in the end). Unfortunately, this light fixture did not work out for me and was promptly returned.PROS:1. Nice style with a clear glass shade that allows you to see the bulb. (Great for if you're using non-standard bulbs such as Edison bulbs.)2. Nice modern style at a price that doesn't break the bank.3. The light is packaged very well within its box by the manufacturer to help reduce the chances of it being damaged before it finds its way to you.CONS:1. Lighting -- this light fixture is so terrible at doing the primary thing it's made to do. The fixture itself may look attractive, but its aesthetic is also its own worst enemy. Because the fixture is solid aluminum and is nearly 5 inches in height, the only light that passes through is that which makes its way through the glass shade at the very bottom of the fixture. It's possible that this issue could have been avoided if there were two sockets for two bulbs...but there is only one. Though I'm still not sure this would have actually solved anything considering the height of the fixture that blocks so much of the emitted light. HOWEVER, my guess is that this issue may be a non-issue for those with high or vaulted ceilings (or for anyone aiming for "seedy bar" lighting).2. The "instructions" that are included are...virtually non-existent. Aside from reminding the installer to shut off the breaker, the "instructions" consist of a single graphic with no sequential steps or written process to follow along. I didn't have much trouble making sense of the graphic to complete the install and personally found the process to be fairly straightforward. But someone who has zero knowledge or experience in dealing with electrical wiring might find the install a bit frustrating based on what's provided alone. (Note: although the process is straightforward, just a heads up that a second set of hands will make the process easier when connecting the wiring.)FYI:The glass shade is glued to the aluminum on the inside. If you need to replace a bulb or clean out any dead bugs, you'll need to detach the fixture from its mount to do so. Neither a good or bad thing -- doing so would only require a screwdriver and a brain cell or two. Just information I figure some might find useful.

The bulb is also not centralized under the diffuser so it is very obvious where the bulb is in use and also results in non uniform lighting. I am using the fixture with a Cree 60W dimmable plus color smart LED bulb A19. )A21 size bulbs will not fit) Luckily with this Cree bulb you can choose off colors and warm whites and dim them so as to minimize the obviousness of the bulb behind the frosted shade. Note in the photo provided the bulb is visible when in normal white and at 100% even during daylight. It’s much more obvious at night. Night photo provided is how I minimize the obviousness of the bulb. Essentially yellow and dimmed are way down. The included instructions are not great but it’s fairly obvious how to hang this fixture. The glass in the outer piece seems extremely thin. The inner diffuser does not screw in to the base. The base has indentations and that allow the diffuser to be twisted into place. The base also has outdents or raised areas that essentially hold the diffuser in place. The outer ring with glass has three very small knobs that screw from above the actual wiring base plate to join it. See last photo.

This really is a pretty light. I ordered 2 to replace mis matching fixtures in a stairwell - one at the entry way and one at the top of the stairs. We realized after installation, the ring that fits around the bottom of the light wasn’t sitting correctly because the glass was warped. I e mailed Amazon customer service, who was super helpful and offered a replacement. The new one won’t be here for a couple of days.In spite of the snafu with the one light, I am very pleased with the look of these for the price. My husband was able to install them pretty quickly, and without too much trouble.

I bought it as an additional light in my kitchen over the sink. This light was large. Much too large for my small galley kitchen. This would be a good main light for a hallway, ceiling or porch, not an additional light for the kitchen. The light itself was beautiful and the quality was awesome. I loved the pebble glass and the oil rubbed bronze. Just make sure you note the size when ordering. I guess I didn't check measurements close enough. Again, beautiful light, just not right for my space. I returned the product to Amazon.

I would give five stars if the inside of the plate holder was black... it’s really weird that you make the nice looking color facing the ceiling and than we can see that rusted color from the side facing the light bulb. Besides that, really beautiful and easy to install. I’m planning to spray paint that part whenever I have time, since I’ve got 3 of them.

We are redoing one of our rooms with a wrought iron theme and this light went perfectly with the room. And the price was excellent, a fraction literally of what we've paid for other light fixtures. Very happy with it. We also got some LED Edison-style bulbs (see below) and fit one of them into here.As far as ease of installtion goes, I probably could have done it myself, but we had a lighting guy doing some mroe complcated installs so it made sense for him to just do this one.here are the edison bulbs: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07MFPRYLW/

Please know, the picture does not do it justice. I tried and tried, and could not get a picture that represented how this light looks in person.Everyone that had come over since we installed it has either said something or take a long look at it. Whether day (off) or night, the unique shape of the globe and minimalist design makes it stand out.Pros:Plug and play.Tight seal on globe (mid-March through to May in NC and no bugs have gotten in)Cons:Final nut to fasten does feel 100% stable/on there. I went back and added some theadlock.

Lámparas que no son comunes en el mercado, no traen foco incluído pero para nada es difícil conseguirlo, genera muy buena iluminación, apta para interiores y exteriores, fáciles de instalar, no necesitas comprar nada adicional para instalarlas

A bit hard to install, the 2 mounting screws cannot be tightened straight, you need pliers or a curved screwdriver to install this fixture. Actually not really hard, but it took me a lot more time than expected. I followed the instructions. However, when installed it looks great. Hard to install but good value overall.

I was going to buy this light from another source (not from an Amazon seller) and decided to look on Amazon for it. I found it and it was $30 cheaper from this seller! It was easy to install and is durable.
