The right part for this project
These worked great for this project. I routed a channel in the bottom of each shelf an set the track in. The cover sat mostly flush with the plane of the shelf, so it was really unobtrusive. Turned out great!I cut them on my miter saw, which worked out ok. Just took it slow and clamped then down. The covers were easy to cut with a utility knife.

Philips Hue Lightstrips Will Not Fit in This Channel
For others who are purchasing light channels specifically for Philips Hue Lighstrips, be advised that they will not fit in these channels as intended. The lightstrips themselves can be wedged into the aluminum tracks with some force, but the defuser covers absolutely cannot fit into the tracks once the lightstrips are in them.

Not worth it
There was barely any difference with these on

Easy to Install - difuses light.
I needed to diffuse light in one area where the lights could been seen (not indirect). These worked perfect for that and were easy to install using the clips.
