Great writing! Makes me forget I'm reading in Italian
I'm at a low intermediate level in Italian. This was a perfect book for me. Not to hard but not too easy either. The story was interesting enough that I wanted to keep reading at the end of each chapter. This was my first Sonia Ognibene book but it won't be my last. Sonia, please keep writing! Aspiring italian speakers need more books like this.

Really fun books.
I buy these for our small Italian class. We have read all the other books, so I was happy to see that Sonia Ognibene wrote another one. We will read that one in the fall.

wonderful Italian story for level A1-B2 students
I love the way Sonia Ognibene writes these little books for students studying Italian. The books are written in present tense with Italian idioms and non literal translations identified as(=…). In addition, she provides a summary of each chapter ( also in present tense). The murder mystery in Frequenzi di morte was engaging and kept me guessing. She introduced a lot of vocabulary which could be useful in speaking Italian.

Engaging story, helped me improve my Italian
It's got all the murder mystery elements, including the girl who puts herself in danger because she doesn't think things though.I could read a chapter or two at a time, but as I read more, my reading got faster and I understood more.I've tried "real" Italian and I'm not ready for it yet, so this book and books like it are what I need: more practice, more vocabulary, and a story to keep me engaged.

Interesting story and spot-on for the level
I am on the last chapter of this book (Kindle edition). The book was exactly the right level of the target audience (early intermediate Italian learners). That is a difficult spot to find material to read, so this book helps fill in that space. I could understand the 'gist' of the text with my first read through. The second pass helped fill in the blanks as I looked up words that I didn't know. The format of the books in this series includes a chapter summary in 'boring' language to help understand the action of each chapter. As to the story itself, it was engaging. It could have gone different ways, which kept me guessing until the end.It is easy to recommend this book.

Great book for Italian language learners
While Pamela is listening to the radio show of her ex-boyfriend, Fabrizio, the radio goes silent. She tries other stations but they’re fine so what is the problem? She calls the radio station only to discover that Fabrizio is dead. This starts Pamela on the quest to find his killer and discover things about herself along the way. This book is well-written, easy to read and perfect for upper beginner/intermediate level learners and also for those wanting to maintain what they already know. This is the fifth book for Italian language learners by Sonia Ognibene and I’ve enjoyed every one. I find her stories to be a perfect blend of mystery, humor and romance. I recommend her books to anyone learning Italian or who needs to refresh their language skills.

An excellent way to learn Italian!
Sonia Ognibene's books are a terrific way to improve your Italian language skills. She writes "page turner" stories at the right level for A2-B2 level learners. They are challenging (but not too hard) and fun to read - a great way to reinforce what I am learning about grammar. Not only have I truly enjoyed reading each of her books, but I also have learned so much more about Italy and Italian culture. I highly recommend this book and all of the other ones she has written.

Grateful
I want to say "Grazie tanto!" to this author for writing stories for adults. The books are "giallo" and will keep you turning the pages. They are rooted, not just set, in the Italian culture and way of life. Don't waste your time with other "easy readers" that you see around here. Ognibene's books are in simple, direct language, and you wont' have to put up with cardboard characters and plots that run straight down the tracks of cliche.

Don*t miss this opportunity to improve your Italian!. Highly recommend!
Gripping story in its own right! Plenty of space between lines of print to note translations of new words (as with all of Sonia*s stories). Very enjoyable and effective way of progressing with Italian.

Buonissimo
Questa storia è molto buona per stranieri che imparano l'italiano. Ho comprato insieme l'altre storie. Ogni giorno sto leggendo uno o due capitolo, due volte. Quando leggo secondo volta, prendo nota di parole che non so, come studiare lezione. Vi ringrazio.
