The book seems great but seems like a used copy
Not sure if it was just packaged badly but the cover feels like it’s been bent open before and the corner on the back is bent too otherwise it’s fine just if I wanted a used book I could have saved a little money lol. All in all seems like a helpful book.

Beautiful Book
I bought this book and the companion book, Mountain States Medicinal Plants by Briana Wiles. They both have beautiful illustrations and clear instructions on how to identify, harvest and use wild plants. She also includes instructions for ethical harvest and sustainability. Both books earned a place in my resource library and will be purchased again for gifts.

Recommend this book for identifying wild edibles!
Great book. Good pictures. Covers a lot of wild edibles with nice descriptions. My kids have taken it to the mountains and found so many things to identify, bring home, and also experiment with ways to eat them. This book includes how to beat use the plant or berry and ideas. I have only had it a few weeks and already learned a lot. I’m a total beginner when identifying plants of any kind but this book has already given me some knowledge.

So useful, and fun!
I love this book. My husband and I take this and "Mountain States Medicinal Plants" (also by Briana Wiles) out foraging at very least once a week. The author did an amazing job describing how to identify so many plants and made it easy with clear pictures. Our lives are forever changed!

Great Book!
I have really enjoyed this book, it's been very informative and has good pics for when your wanting to verify plants. I got this for my grandkids so they can learn while on camping trips in the Bighorns.

Information on the rest of Washington state.
Packed with information, though a bit dry. It might well take years to learn it well. Most books featuring Washington state limit themselves to the coastal region, which is an entirely different biome.
