The filter is a direct fitment drop in replacement, easy to install and noticeably better than my way too old filter I was replacing. Not the cheapest filters in the world, but quality comes at a cost.

This filter is under when the bin sits on the vacuum and over time and especially if you are vacuuming up very fine dust like drywall or in my case Adobe dust after taking out a door and window and putting in French doors there was a ton of very find dirt to clean up. After replacing this filter, it was like a new vacuum.

I had a need to replace my original filter for my DC07. I disassembled the vacuum (not terribly difficult) and cleaned everything. This filter replacement was a tight --not snug-- tight fit. If I ever need to replace this filter, I will probably need to cut it apart. Filters are replaced, everything is back to as it should for my DC07.

We have an older DC-14... probably purchased around 2005/2006. Like many - we would wash the foam filter "when we thought about it", but never replaced the HEPA filter. According to Dyson - it's a "lifetime" filter. Well - let me be the first to say... after this many years and two cats... the vacuum was feeling a bit "tired". Instead of just replacing the whole vacuum like most would do thinking it's "bad", we decided to do some maintenance. We pulled apart all the hoses & connectors... cleaned them out. Foam filter is still good - so just a simple wash was good. But then came the HEPA... for the first time in all these years we actually took it out and the bottom was BLACK as pavement. There were bits of dust/debris underneath it. We cleaned it out and opted for this filter. Once installed.... WOW. The vacuum is in all seriousness - like new! Complete suction restored! If you're like us, and thinking things are getting a little "tired"... perhaps on the fence about this filter... just do it. Now. Don't think - just do it. If nothing else, the vacuum blower motor will thank you. I'm sure it doesn't need to be replaced all the time or anything like that - but after seeing the difference it made on our vacuum, I'd recommend every 5 years or so... just to maintain tip-top performance!

This is called a lifetime filter, but it is not. Our vacuum started making a periodic whistling or wheezing noise and after some diagnosing I found the plastic cover over this filter which is below the dirt canister, was popping up whenever the wheezing noise occurred. When I pulled the cover off much to my surprise was this filter which was marked "lifetime", but was not mentioned in the user manual. There's a sealing ring around this filter which whistles when air escapes past it. The old Dyson has a new lease on life.

Almost perfect filter for our Dyson DC14 Full Access and about as close as you can get to the original "Lifetime filter" that Dyson shipped with these units. This post motor filter uses a felt gasket on the side and bottom of the filter versus the full rubber one that comes with the Dyson' filter thought it appears to keep just as good of a seal than the original does.This is our third filter in the last 12 years. We had been using the original filter until August of last year when we did some good maintenance on our DC14 to rejuvenate our Dyson back to a like-new state instead of buying a new vacuum too early.Decided it was time for a new filter as the one from August is already completely black with dust and dirt.These are the only post motor filter you should buy simply because it has a pre-applied gasket and makes a very good seal similar to the original filters. Definitely worth the extra few bucks to get a filter that is actually made well.
