Runs big, nice material, LOVE the adjustable waistband!
I purchased a size 8 and a 10. Other reviews stated the skirt ran big and it does. My 9 y/o daughter generally wears a 10. It was huge. The size 8 fit great once I made the waistband smaller. For reference she is 4' 7"/73 lbs. She is tall for her age and the skirt hits her in the middle to lower part of her knee. The material is great. It's a dressier looking material with a some give in it. It was a little wrinkled but that's to be expected during shipping. I can't speak to longevity but if it holds up during the wash, this is a staple she could have in her closet for some time. Great quality for the price-just size down.

Skirt is adjusted to fit without pins or threads - very helpful design
Very good skirt for a Hermoine Granger Halloween costume! This skirt works very well, because it can be adjusted in both directions to fit as the child grows. I have never seen that design before, and now that I have seen it, I wish every skirt or set of slacks could do this! It makes the skirt very adjustable.

Great fit
Good quality skirt, it fits a bit large on my child (4t) but she is very pettiite. The skirt is adjustable though and we were able to adjust it enough that it fits her great!

Inspires young songwriters.
It’s really a lovely skirt. Good quality. The only problem is the very tightly sewn button. The hole is very secure to the point my 6 year old (and her grandma) were unable to remove the skirt.6 year old got so mad she made up a song titled “I hate this damn skirt)So…. Maybe better for older (but not too old) girls.

Runs small in the waist, super long in length

Pleasantly surprised -- good fit for tall, thin 9-year-old
My 9-year-old daughter is quite tall and slim--it's impossible to find bottoms that fit her properly. Things are either too big or too short. I was having trouble finding a uniform skirt that fit her appropriately. I ended up ordering both a size 6 and a size 7 in this skirt, and both are going to work. The 6 is just a *tiny* bit loose in the waist (but will work just fine once she tucks her shirt into it) and hits right above/at the knee. I needed to adjust the waist on the size 7, but it looked fine once I tightened it and hits right at/below her knee. I love that these have the adjustable waists--key feature! The material is also better quality that I expected. I threw them all in the dryer when we got them, and then we washed and dried them after that. The pleats stayed and they seem like they'll hold up well.I also had my 5-year-old kindergartener try on the size 6. I had to adjust the waist for her quite a bit, but it was great in terms of length. And the skirt seems to lay fine even with the waist elastics tightened a bunch.

Short for work, but high quality
Good: seemingly high qualityBad: I bought this item for a work Halloween party (Hermione) and it is nowhere near an acceptable length. I’m 5’7” and about 103 pounds - the waist was true to description (22”) but the skirt only goes down about an inch past my butt, I don’t need to become that popular around the office.13” length starting at my navel doesn’t leave much left for legs.

Nice Skirt but too big
Skirt seems to be good quality however you must buy 2 sizes down, my daughter is 130 lbs and she normally wears a 14/16 but we got her a 10 and she looks fine in it. Also comes just above the knee so that’s a PLUS!!
