Yellow cable : + positive of switch Brown cable : - negative of switch

Yes, they mean the same thing. If the new throttle has extra wires or colors that do match the existing connections. then that would be a problem.

Q: When i power it on the battery light only show when im going when i let go all the lights go out is that normal?

That thing doesn’t work at all for battery power. It only works for throttle. I wouldn’t pay any attention to those lights. My battery has power lights that I pay attention to and you can tell when your battery is getting low any way

Q: What is the grey button in the front there between the battery life indicator and the actual thumb lever?

On off switch to power off throttle without powering off bike battery. I do this when I’m charging but don’t want the light to show when I’m charging my bike secretly at work. 😆
