I highly recommend this book to anyone preparing for the AP US History exam, this book does an amazing job at teaching the content of what is important. I just finished reviewing it and I am very impressed. It is extremely well-organized, using the thematic structure developed by the College Board. The content is very well curated and presented, providing concise yet detailed descriptions of all of the important information. The book does not sacrifice nuance for the sake of brevity, however. Conflicting opinions and important subtleties are artfully incorporated into the text without convoluting the main point. The book is also very conscious of the way politics can influence the narrative. I was consistently impressed by their neutrality in portraying the successes, failures, and dominant opinions of both liberalism and conservatism throughout American history. They also do a good job of connecting themes and events, helping readers understand what is important and how to think about these issues as historians and test-takers.
