Q: I'm a big ol' fat guy, I have a waist of about 60 to 62 inches. Will the waist belt on this pack be able to buckle for me ?

I'm a big ol' fat girl.. My waist is around 50 inches or so. It fits me perfect and I can still snug the belt a bit! You'll o fine with this pack!!

Yes its a perfect pack for a 2-3 or more day hike. I personally did a 4 night hike with this pack and it was awesome. Youtube has some good reviews of this pack that are convincing. The sleeping bag compartment won't hold your sleeping bag unless you plan on just using a thin bed sheet. Its a great starter pack that will last quite a while.

I'm a small framed guy - 5'8" and 150#. I packed my Explorer 4000 heavy, with 4 liters of water, 30 meters of heavy climbing rope, even an ukulele lashed to it. It weighed in at about 55# and I took it through the Red River gorge wilderness following (and usually in) a creek - 6 hours to my destination. I was delighted with this pack. The straps didn't chafe, my back didn't hurt, it was surprisingly comfortable. In the July heat it was sufficiently ventilated that I didn't sweat as much as I would expect. For the price, I'm singing this pack's praises! It's supposed to be adjustable, but I carried it as it was out of the box with no more adjustment than to cinch it up. Fully loaded with heavy gear, it might be too much for you unless you're a pretty rugged gal. I definitely recommend the pack, but will it also fit a woman comfortably? I say get it, try it out, if it doesn't work for you then use Amazon's amazing return policy.Happy hiking! I hope this helps.
