Used on my 04 trx450r. Needed an assortment of shims for regular maintenance on my quad.

this was my first- adjusting valves with shims, but the markings on the shims and a little research on the web, and it brought a non-running bike to life in an instant! They have clear markings for thickness, accurate within several hundred thousandths and the handy divider box keeps them neat and organized. I also like that the kit came with a jeweler's style magnifying glass in its own divider compartment in the same box so it likely won't get lost, and that made the price definitely worth the money to me.

Made it a breeze adjusting my valves. I did all 12 shims on my speed triple to get back to mid range after 35k miles. I had considered waiting til I measured everything to buy them individually but I'm glad I bought the kit instead

My motorcycle is 2008 Kawasaki Vulcan 900 with 4500 miles on it. Very low miles but 12 years old. My bike top speed on the freeway was only 70 miles and feels low power. Also using too much gas. I was getting only 20 ~ 27 mpg poor fuel mileage. I was almost took it to the motorcycle dealer to repair, but i saw YouTube video how to adjust valve clearance using Shims. I decide to give it a try myself. I found I need to change 4 Shims on my bike. I went Kawasaki dealer to buy Shims, but they tried to charge more than $50 for 4 Shims. I ordered this whole set of Shims from Amazon for $67. I changed those 4 shims after delivered. What a difference! My motorcycle changed 100%, runs like brand new bike. Now my motorcycle has planty of power, runs faster than 110 miles on the freeway and getting 45 mpg or more fuel mileage. I realized value clearance is that much important on the motorcycle. Anyone who has same problem like my bike, buy this Shims and do it yourself. Save a lots of money and also no other machanic will taking care your bike like you do!

These work great for my ninja 400. Work as they should and seem to be a good quality.

This competitively priced shim kit contains a variety of thicknesses and was delivered in a timely manner. Four different thickness shims were required along with a Hot Cams shim conversion kit when the Polaris 570 Ranger valves were replaced. It cost about $80 more to go this way but I would have had to stop the rebuild process to order the 4 required thickness shim cups from Polaris. When I do the 500 mile checkup it will cost nothing other than my time to update the shimming. Well worth it.

If you do your own work and plan to do a valve adjustment more than once, the assorted kit is the way to go.

This kit worked for my 2006 Suzuki V-Strom. I had all 8 valves on the tight end of the specs and decided to adjust them looser. Had all the right shims in this kit, Used a digital caliper to verify the dimensions and they were as marked. Very happy.

Nice packaging, all shims are labelled and measured with vernier and were accurate and fit perfect. Even comes with a little magnifying glass in the package incase someone can't read the sizes. Double check which kit you need for your motor because they do make different kits.
