Doctor's Best Nattokinase

I felt obligated to write a review about "Doctor's Best Best Nattokinase (2, 000 Fu)" because the improvement my family felt over last 2 years. You are right, 2 years, which qualifies me to write a meaningful review on it. Why did my family start to use it? My father had a heart attack two and a half years ago. The ECG & MRI diagnoses were not good and he also had Embolism. With traditional treatment, I started looking for additional supplements that could help. After some research, I found Nattokinase could be one choice and "Doctor's Best" is quite reputable with very reasonable price. So everything happened there. What is the benefit? The improvement is STEADY and HUGE. AFTER CONSULTING THE DOCTOR, my father started taking the 2k Fu pills everyday. Because some worries about potential risks (see below), I asked him to take 1 pill a day in warm seasons and 2 pills a day in cold seasons, and asked him to regularly do the blood tests. After 1 year, the ECG result showed an improved T-wave from -4 to -3 (I'm not professional and the numbers are direct readings from the ECG curve which was explained by the doctor "a good sign of improvement"). And last week, after 2 years of taking the pills, the T-wave is lifted from -3 further to -2 plus significant improvement in body feeling. According to the doctor, this is GREAT! What is the other benefit? I started to take it about 1 year ago because my blood pressure is a bit high and I know my blood is very viscous. I constantly monitored my blood pressure afterwards and found that it decreased from average low@86~high@131 to low@75~high@119 in about a year. I'm not taking any other blood pressure control pills and my diet habit is the same. So this is definitely due to Nattokinase. And I'm happy about it. What are the RISKS? While doing the research before buying, I noticed there is a scientific paper (published) discussed the improvement of blood mobility (reduction of viscosity) after treatment of Nattokinase (many adults were taking the pills and their blood samples were tested over some time period). And then there are reports stating that longer time is needed to stop bleeding and unexpected bleeding occurs while some people brushing the teeth after taking Nattokinase. So I think there must be risks about it. And indeed, my mom can't take it because several days of Nattokinase intake would always cause her teeth to bleed after brushing. So for those who have this kind of problem, be careful. The best way is to always consult your doctor before taking and when anything unusual happened after taking. In summary, Pro: It worked in my cases; Pills are small; "Doctor's Best" is a good brand. nothing really bad, you just need to know if it fits you.

When I first discovered the Nattokinase product, I was ordering from a little company in Japan that was supposedly tied directly to the doctor who first made the Natto-zyme discovery. The label was all in Japanese and came with a little card translated into English. The product itself was incredible! My experience was such that I felt a tingling sensation whenever taking it. Some documentation I had read said that this was common among some people taking the product and was apparently a sign of the blood being oxygenated or something (having to do with improved circulation). This led to a very relaxed feeling and I slept like a baby whenever taking the product. I absolutely loved it! My blood pressure also came down and started to regulate better. Sadly, I have not been able to find that source again and so have had to try other brands. Doctor's Best is very good. I still sleep much better when taking it and have noticed the same positive effects related to blood pressure, although I didn't give a 5 star review because I have not had the same physical effects as when taking the Japanese product. So, I guess I'm left to hoping it's doing what it's supposed to do. I have read some other 3rd party studies that gave Doctor's Best a decent rating for potency, so I suspect it's a good product. Best of all, the price is right!

Has helped me with energy, I no longer wake up with swollen ankles in the morning. BP down and I just feel better. Daughter noticed I had more energy all day. Been taken about 2 months and will continue.

Got this brand because it tests quite a bit higher strength than the label of 2000 FU. This worked very well to dissolve a blood clot (saddle thrombus) in my cat where she was effectively paralyzed in her hind legs. Within 3 days of receiving Nattokinase, she was able to put a little weight on her hind legs and within 5 days, she was walking again. She's a "natto cat" now!

Nattokinase is currently being studied as an effective way to dissolve fibrin and thrombus (blood clots) in study animals (usually rats) as well as in humans. As someone who has suffered and endured more DVTs (Deep Venous Thrombosis) than can be counted across a couple decades and suffers from virtually all the possible complex complications stemming from multiple complete occlusions (including Post Thrombotic Syndrome (PTS), May Thurner Syndrome (MTS), Chronic Venous Insufficiency (CVI), chronic lymphedema and veins that have become destroyed from too many years of warfarin therapy - never again, no matter what, my body simply cannot tolerate the inflammation from warfarin anymore...) finding an effective way to both PREVENT as well as DISSOLVE blood clots is vital for my quality of life. The many medical professionals I have consulted over the years never explained a basic concept to me - today's oral anti-coagulation therapies are ONLY designed to "prevent" further DVT (which is really ironic considering I always develop extensive new clotting while on warfarin therapy!) There are NO oral medications for "dissolving" existing blood clots OR fibrin which is vital to preventing further complications such as those from which I suffer and have endured. Thankfully for various reasons I was never a good candidate for any of the invasive procedures being tried over the years - whether bypass the MTS, or vena cava filters nor stenting as is being tried in recent years - they all seem to all too frequently cause further cascading series of events that are often very detrimental to quality of life. I have incorporated nattokinase into my supplement regimen the past few years on a periodic basis as I can afford with obvious success; this is called evidence based experience. Despite having multiple diagnosis leaving me permanently disabled and my leg rather disfigured, *all* of my medical professionals (including a podiatrist, interventional radiologist, vascular surgeons, cardiologists, hematologists, etc) are stunned at how healthy my leg appears DESPITE my very well documented medical saga. Yes, my leg is still obviously disfigured and likely always will be, but the skin appearance is visibly improving and healthier as compared to others suffering a similar set of complex diagnosis stemming from chronic recurrent DVTs. The supplements that go well with nattokinase for leg vein health after DVT include: fish oil, flax seed oil, a whole food sourced multi such as New Chapter Every Woman's One Daily, 72 Count , vitamin D, vitamin K2/mk7 (only if NOT taking warfarin!), B vitamins such as NOW Foods B-12,Liquid B-Complex, 8 ounce , magnesium, horse chestnut, garlic, parsley, as well as red wine as explained to me by a D.O. whom I consulted a couple years ago. The medical professionals generally cannot offer alternatives but will discuss their virtues when asked! Keep in mind if you have any chance of getting "real" information from medical professionals, only have these discussions when storm troopers (pharmaceutical reps) are not around; watch for those all too frequent catered lunches they tend to provide to the most indoctrinated...

I've suffered in the past from high blood pressure and that's why I got this item. Occasionally when I eat salty foods my pressure rises to about 138/90. I bought this as an occasional supplement to help with this problem. So far I've used it 5-6 times and each time it has lowered my blood pressure within 1-2 hours by 20 points or more (both top and bottom numbers). The first day I received this I had eaten Chinese food and shortly after I had a headache even though I ate small portions. My pressure was high. About 8 PM I took 1 capsule of Nattokinase with water. About 10 PM I fell sound asleep on a chair while watching TV. When I awoke at 12:30 AM I immediately tested my blood pressure and was surprised that it went from 142/92 earlier (probably from the Chinese food) down to 104/71! That's why I was so tired. I didn't want to skip my prescription (5 mg amlodipine for HBP) so I took it and went to bed. My pressure must have gotten very low because I slept about 2-3 hours longer than usual.In the morning, after breakfast, my pressure reading was 112/72. Since that day I only use Nattokinase after a salty meal or if my pressure reading is more than 125/85 which,fortunately, is not very often. Also I carefully open the capsule and use a little more than half. This seems to work like strong blood pressure medication. Furthermore it works within 1-2 hours. I'm not sure if this can replace prescription medication but I will talk to my doctor about it next time I see him. Anyone get rid of prescription medicine and use this instead? It seems that if your pressure is moderately high (about 140/90) Nattokinase would probably be all you need. However, seeing your doctor about this is important because some people can have undiagnosed health problems which need to be addressed. Also when blood pressure goes above 140/90 it can lead to very serious health problems. So far I've found 3 products that definitely lower blood pressure here on Amazon. They are Reishi mushroom extract, Carditone and most recently Nattinokase. Although any of these work well I like the Nattinokase because the only side effect is to make you tired. Reishi upsets your stomach a little unless you eat first. Carditone works very well but it can sometimes make you feel a little sick if you take a whole pill. Many people have told me that half a pill works best. It seems that my first choice now will be the Nattinokase because it works well and has the least side effects. Also the capsules are very small and easy to swallow. This supplement surpassed my expectations and I highly recommend it to anyone who suffers from high blood pressure.
