ASOM Ultrasonic Cool Mist Humidifier and Aroma Oil Diffuser, White

I have twins that were born 4 months early and have chronic lung disease. My little girl has more complications and sleeps with bi pap at night. We do everything that we can to make sure that we stay out of the hospital, and one of the things that we use is this humidifier with essential oils. I have already purchased 3 of these, and I currently have two. I even take this with me when we have a hospital admission, and I always get so many compliments on how wonderful it smells in the room, how beautiful the lighting is & how the size is impressive. If you have hard water then I would definitely recommend that you try & use a pitcher with a filter or distilled water. I have noticed that after using oils in this sometimes I have to go and clean off a film that will be on the inside of the bottom part of the humidifier. It will almost look kind of rusty in color, but it's "filmy." I simply use vinegar, warm water and a mild detergent and let that run for a couple of hours to clean it. I have also taken the top portion that holds the water as well as the filter and put it in the dishwasher on the anti bacterial setting with no problem. You do have to buy replacement filters.Unfortunately this has increased in price greatly! I purchased these for $39.99, & now they're over $60 - personally, I wouldn't spend that much on this humidifier. If it goes down again then I will be purchasing another couple of them to be prepared for this upcoming Winter and following 2019 Spring/Allergy season.

I loved this humidifier, I bought it for my toddlers room. The winter and heat dry us out. I ordered it March 2017 and it officially broke today (December 2019). What I love about it is that the base lights up all different colors and you can either pick a color you want to keep on or let it go through all the colors continuously. So we use it for both nightlight and humidifier. The humidifier is what it is, they’re all a pain to clean. I knew it probably wouldn’t last long as none of them do but was starting to think maybe this one was built different. It doesn’t look cheap at all. I’ll probably just buy this one again Bc we like it so much but wished these things would last longer!!!!

I suffer from a sore throat after sleeping, and needed a humidifier that would correct that problem. This little beauty works great in a 14x10 master bedroom on the low end of the settings! I have not had the issues that other reviewers have encountered with the water tank cracking, but then again, after reading those comments I decided to be especially careful when handling the tank during refills and turning the cap.Filtered water with less minerals is recommended because tap water in the mister will release a fine powder throughout the entire room from the minerals in the water. This powder lands everywhere air will flow, including into my dresser drawers! Easy to clean up, but becomes a frequent requirement, so filtered water produces less of the mineral mist dust for cleaning.Red light is the only light setting I can sleep with while operating, but otherwise I just leave the light feature off. I'm happy with this item!

We have another from this company, having loved it so much, purchased this for another room. This one is even more quiet than the first. The tank, however, holds less and I find that I need to fill it daily (even when it's set on" Low", which is the only reason for 4 stars. As it is in a bedroom, the changing colors were distracting and we don't use them. The aroma diffusers (actually two of them) are a nice addition to our older one. The older one has lasted years. It will be interesting to discover if this also does.

Not easy to clean at all, especially if you have bad water. Tank does not drain completely so any time cleaning solution is used it needs to rinsed several times. the unit it self has a bunch of little nooks and crannies to clean out in the trough. Other wise it works great and the tank holds a lot of water. Handy little color feature too.

Great little humidifier. My only issue is that you have to cycle through all the light colors to turn it off. That means you have to push the button in NINE times to turn it off. We use it every night as a nite light, and the button has worn out. You have to push it repeatedly to get it to change. I’m sure it’s going to break very shortly. We’ve had it for a year and a half.

This machine did very well putting out a decent amount of mist, more than I had expected. The night light colors are beautiful but a little too bright. The essential oil tray on top is completely useless as it would only get overly saturated with moisture while the machine was on. I had to take it out entirely. After just two uses, the water tank started turning blue which makes me think this is pretty cheap plastic. I decided to return it.

UPDATE: Changing from 5 star to 1 star. Cleaned the humidifier thoroughly (to get the mold off) and a spring came off, replaced it, but now it will not create steam, can't figure out how to fix it. Looked it up on the internet to find there is no fix. Very irritated.LOVE this humidifier!!! I love that it's cold and it doesn't get all muggy in the room when using it, and the fact that it duals as a diffuser for oils is awesome! I love putting my citrus oils in there and turning it on full blast. My four year old daughter loves the LED lights at night time. This is a must have item in every household!!!!
