Heavy duty
I bought this reel for my live bait and trolling musky rod. I've only used it for live bait a few times. But I've been using it throwing big rubber baits for musky. It feel awesome throwing some 10 to 12 Oz baits. Would recommend for a musky fishing reel for beginner or experienced angler. For under $300 which is tough now. It is a heavy reel as far as weight. But with big baits no problem. I wil purchase 1 or 2 more in the future for catfish rods. The bait clicker is a nice feature if you use your rod for live bait fishing or trolling also.

Amazing reel
This reel is just amazing super smooth strong over built the drag is smooth. Its a rocket cast great. I have used round reels for years and i personally like the low profile reels more. I use it for catfishing and it works awesome

DRAG ISSUES
The reel worked fine at first then it’s like the drag slips and will not tighten up properly. It will cost you a fish

The Komodo can do it and well.
The komodo 463 has exceeded my expectations of power, smoothness of drag and casting distance. I highly recommend the reel to throw snipers and swim baits. Holds alot of braid (200 yds. Of 65# J-braid).

Impressive!
I’ve now taken my komodo on 5 saltwater trips. I’ve caught some bass, barracuda, Bonita, yellowtail, and tuna on this reel. It’s a powerful little reel. Drag is super smooth.

Other than the handle I'm very impressed
Had my doubts, they've almost all been extinguished. I'm hard on equipment, Tranx 400, Lexa HD, Abu Beast all had very short lives in my hands. This reel is unbelievably tough, casts a mile, great drag and very ergonomic. My ONLY complaint is that every time I set the hook on a muskie I end up bending the power handle somehow... Seems to bend back ok for now but I'll definitely be looking for an aftermarket handle or perhaps try the counterweighted one.
