At last a reliable timer , a bit pricy but does an excellent job, I like soft boiled and this timer is great

I am terrible at hard boiled eggs and knowing if they are done or not, I typically don’t like hard boiled eggs but have developed a taste recently. Every time my eggs would come out too soft. So I bought this and now I have perfect eggs every time. I also use it to gauge when they are cool enough to peel too

This product worked perfectly. No longer do I have to worry about the hard boiled eggs being a problem to peel - with this product the peeling was perfect every time - but you need to follow the directions.

Little rough around the edges of the bottom. It gets the job done though.

This is an updated review after I exchanged the egg for a different one. The first one I had did not accurately work but customer service was amazing and helped me exchange it for a different one- and it works perfectly. I had seen so many positive reviews on this egg and thought I had to have it. I have a gas stove and the cooking time on hard boiled eggs to be the way we all like to eat them seems to vary depending on the day, weather, whatever. It was a pain to do the guess and check method all the time, and a waste of some eggs (which the dogs loved, haha). Using the egg timer took a lot of the guess work out. We like our eggs very hard boiled so I just leave them in a couple minutes past the time the egg turns all the way colored and they are perfect every time. I also found that if I do them in smaller batches (6-8) the timer is much more accurate! I'm so happy I gave it a second try because it is super helpful, not to mention cute! I would recommend this timer to anyone who cooks hard boiled eggs, it takes the guess work out of cooking so you get perfect eggs every time no matter what style of hard boiled eggs you prefer. The customer service is wonderful, emails were always responded to within 12-24 hours and they are easy to understand. They truly want to make sure you have a positive experience.
