Why pay for a little metal box?
This lil box is a great grab-and-go solution to bring a pre-selected, organized variety of film with you, easily tucked neatly into your bag. An upgrade from my previous method which looked more like individual rolls rolling around at the bottom of my bag in their plastic bottles.. It will also make going through airport security easier as I can just present the open case to a worker and avoid fumbling through packaging and looking like a silly goose, even if that's precisely what I am. The steel construction is thick and sturdy, the paint layer is well applied, it's scratch-proof, slightly textured, and I really like the look of my olive green case. Inside is a robust plastic insert to hold 10 rolls of 35mm film, or 8 rolls of 120, but of course it can be removed if you want to keep something else in it. As for the lid, closing it is noisy, which might be an issue for wildlife photogs. There's also enough space above the film rolls to allow for a bit of jostling with the rolls tapping between the lid and plastic insert as it moves. It's not completely secure, so if I'm going on a hike with it loose in my bag, I may think about taping it down or tying it closed somehow, if something in the bag catches the side of the lid it could open the case and the rolls would spill out like Kevin's chili, and nobody wants that. This case is double the capacity of it's smaller variant for just a few dollars more. Some sort of clasp to keep it confidently closed tight would have brought it to 5/5 stars for me, even still, I'm very satisfied and look forward to using it more.

Great, just a bit overpriced…
Unique product that does exactly what it is advertised to do. I agree with Shawn’s review above. To solve the slight rattling around of 35mm film rolls, I cut a section of the foam packaging it comes with to fit the depression in the lid. Used rubber cement to attach it, and voila’ no more rattling. Great product, well made.

Like it better than the plastic 120 film holders, and it has character
Wow, in this day and age, something actually made out of metal instead of plastic. Shape and color add some character unlike the ugly plastic holders i bought first. Have not sit down and compared prices but since this holds 8 120 rolls vs 5 for the plastic may not be too far off per roll. Plus this also can hold 35mm. Top snaps on well which is a big advantage. The 35mm and 120 plastic holders will quickly dump your film out on floor, desert dirt, inside film bag, whatever, if you accidentally invert them. Guess what, writing this review just talked myself into buying more for the long picture taking RV trips I make. My plastic units may be showing up on eBay.
