DaiwaRevros LT PMC Executive Pack - Spinning Rod/Reel Travel Combo

I got my ultralight Revros Travel Kit yesterday and took it out for a trial run today. It's a little snug in my Road King's hard bags, but it does fit. The 5-piece spinning rod is excellent and the size 2000 reel is very smooth. Came pre-spooled with 6-lb test monofilament, which I likely will replace with fluorocarbon to get rid of the coiled memory that the line contains. Might use 10-lb braid and just make a leader with 6-lb test line. Casts very well and has great feel. The only thing I do not like is three of the eyelets are too small to fit either a size 12 swivel or a size 10 barrel swivel through them, so I need to tie up every time. The combo looks and feels great and the travel case has plenty of room for some tackle or adding a second reel.Update: I switched to the 10-lb test braided SpiderWire for my main line, and it casts like a dream. I use 2, 4, or 6 pound test leaders for my jigs and caught some very sizeable crappie yesterday. Fished for about three hours at a local dam/tailwaters and am very impressed with the combo. The size 2000 reel is exceptional and great for catching most any species I am likely to target and any surprises that might come along. The rod is easy to put together and holds up very well. It is very easy to make accurate casts. And the combo looks terrific.

Good, well made unit as I expect from Daiwa. Been using their fishing gear for over 40 years and it still is some of best out there.
