Looks very nice
I used it with a small spoon sifter which definitely helped as opposed to sprinkling with my fingers. I used a wet paper towel to dampen the cookie icing. It got a little messy but all in all I'm pretty happy with how it came out. I'm not much of baker and this was pretty simple to use.

The gold is a little "brassy."
Not the best color and you have use a lot to get it to show up. For gold I'll use a different dust next time. The other 2 colors were good. Dust is very fine and good quality.

Just okay- not very shimmery
I used this to add a little shimmer to a horn for a narwhal cake I made for my niece. I followed the directions and applied a little water to the horn (made of fondant) and then used a dry brush to apply the shimmer. I think the key is to not get the fondant too wet- it just has to be a little sticky. The application worked better when I just gently shook some of the dust onto the horn and then tapped off the excess. The overall effect was very subtle, though. I used the white shimmer and you really had to get close to notice any kind of shimmer.

Do not buy this to paint drips on your cake!
I bought this because I wanted to paint my daughter’s birthday cake drip gold. I followed careful instructions in preparing it to get the perfect color gold but I ended up with bright green. The dust seems to be mixed with something else that ended up being VERYYY clumpy no matter how much I mixed it. It was not something that could be brushed onto the cake fondant. It was literally in little clumps all over. I decided I better not ruin my entire cake with this. I ended up just trying to dust some on top of my cake but it ended up just looking yellow instead of gold. I would not buy this again. Next time I’ll go with another company. I don’t recommend using this product if you’re going to use the method of mixing it with a high proof alcohol in order to decorate your baked goods.

super fun
Great for a glitter touch on cocktails and kids fizzy drinks! Make sure you use fingers to pinch in not spoon or it will clump.

this is one of my favorite discoveries of 2017
this is one of my favorite discoveries of 2017. no flaws. only fun. worth it. if you can't find a paint brush you can use something made of fine mesh and just sort of tap the powder/dust out over it. it is VERY fine. combine colors for new ones!!!!! amazing over a platter of fresh cut fruit, dates and figs.
