We have been thru 3-4 car mounts and this is our favorite so far. I loved the magnet types, but any type of emergency stop sent my phone flying. Add to that no magnet was strong enough to hold my wife's Iphone 12 pro max (I call it a mini tablet) with case... and we looked for clamp style mounts. Did not want a dash mount as we have a nice car and adhering something to it is out of the question. This model mounts to the AC vents and uses a hook with tightening screw to stay in place. Gave install 4 stars because it is a little tricky to get the hook to catch, perhaps if it was just a millimeter or 2 longer it wouldn't be a problem. Still, once in place, the mount is very sturdy, does not wobble, has not fallen off, and holds our phones in place, even with a brake check. The mount is wide and easily fits my wife's big phone w/ case. This might block part of your LED screen if you mount it too high, or based on your cabin design... try to visualize if it will be a good fit for you before you buy.

It didn't fit as intended in vent, but I was able to rotate it sideways and still use it.

My new IPhone 14 Pro Max presented a daunting task, finding something to hold it in place so I could view it. That it wouldn’t harm the Vent fins on my beloved, ‘09 Corvette Z06 and it would stay put riding over some of our local bricked streets. This be the one and Hallelugiah!! It’s positioned in a perfect location so my airflow get’s to me yet it’s technique of grasping the vent fin won’t cause any damage yet keeps it tightly secured… and! I keep mine in a landscape view but it would be a pinch to change it to horizontal. All this, and delivered right to my door for the humble price here on our favored shopping site, home of the smiling brown box.

Simple to install. It may appear to be flimsy and may come off the mounting grill during a bumpy ride but so far no issues. Putting the 'phone on the cradle and removing it is a breeze. Good price, too.

I wonder if attaching it to the flimsy, plastic vent louvers puts a strain on them. But, as I wrote, it was easy to install and works as advertised (but with that wiggle).
