The Diary of a Superhero Kid Trilogy

I love books that make me laugh out loud and that is what DIARY OF A SUPERHERO KID by Boyd Brent did. He captured Freddie so well that it made me think of the old Warner Brother cartoons of Ralphie in his Walter Mitty persona. Freddie was the same way. He is funny as he becomes a superhero. I loved his "Kryptonite." His name and costume may leave something to be desired but he works it. He even gets his sidekick. Two less likely superheroes may never be met. The have their adversary in Freddie's next door neighbor, Jessica, who will keep them in reality. What a good group of characters. I cannot wait to read the next diary.

I have a great grandson who is 7. He doesn't like to read - or at least so he says. I think everyone likes to read once they find the right material. HE loves this book! whenever I come over, he wants to read at least one chapter and sometimes more. The book is about the advantages, trials and tribulations of being a super hero kid. The writing appeals to little boy's sense of humor. One example is the boy has to eat baked beans to fly - using Bottom Jet Power.

This book is a joke. The most frustrating thing is that it is written more like a crappy author trying to compose a fake diary but who lacks the attention span to put down more than a couple hundred words at a time. The time frames and tenses are consistently conflicted. An adolescent diary is a poor cover for an even poorer author.

My kids love the story. I read the book to them every night and just finished it buying the second one tomorrow. My son is 8 my daughter Is 5 they both loved this book.

My 9 year old grandson is an avid reader and he loved the book. He will read just about anything so I am always looking for good books for him. He really did enjoy it.

He has found spelling errors, as well as incorrect usage of some words i.e. says is frequently used in the wrong context as is I tells..... This is the first time we have had any problems with books we have downloaded onto our Kindles ( 3 ). Would appreciate knowing why this book is like this.Regards, Andrea

This is good and fun book to read aloud to your kid. We both enjoyed the story. We didn't get a real deep connection to the themes or characters, but I'd read more by the author.

My son loved the adventures of the super hero kid and found it entertaining and intriguing. He recommends it for Kindle readers.

I loved the idea of this book about Freddie the superhero and it is an enjoyable, fun read. Freddie and his sidekick are both strong characters as is Jessica the neighbour who is determined to keep up to date with events even if she is not invited. The voice of the main character (this is a diary!) was, for me, a bit too much at times and I don't think I would enjoy this so much as a read-aloud. Also, although I see there are more adventures to be read I think, for children particularly, a more rounded ending to each volume would be appreciated.

It was absolutely exciting and cool. What a name for a sidekick ' The Incredible Cow Pat'. At the end the Queen was quite mad when she said off with the head!! Freddie, 'The Incredible Numpy', is right about the fact that being a superhero is bad andgood at the same time in many ways. I really enjoyed this book and I hope you enjoy it aswell when you read it.

I read this to my 9 year old grandson as a bedtime story when he spent a few days away with me.It kept him amused and he looked forward to reading the next one himself.

It was amazing for my kids because I when I read it to them they went to sleep as soon as it was finished .It was also good because my kids where using there imaginanation too.

I thought it was a brilliant and historical idea of a book I would recommend this book fore people who like a good laugh and fore people who have a lot of imagination. :)
