I know you're not supposed to use it for swimming. The booklet says water training, but I took this baby in the ocean. I am a terrible swimmer and recently went on a Caribbean vacation with my husband who loves to swim. The belt looks a little ridiculous out of the water. Picture adult floaties. But once you're in oh boy. I was no longer afraid of not feeling land under my feet. I kicked my self up and I was swimming! We even went snorkling for hours. When I got tired I just floated there and stared into the water (with my snorkel gear of course). I was no longer limited to the boring fish in the shallow end. This belt allowed me to make the most of my vacation and I love it!

I never learned to swim as a kid but recently took up swimming lessons. My problem was that it was difficult to improve my form and control breathing while actually swimming. I tried a similar flotation belt that my swim instructor loaned me(seemingly in desperation), and what a world of difference it made. I bought this one and have used it at my gym's pool. It's great because 1) it's easy to put on; 2) easy to adjust tightness; 3) comfortable; 4) provides just enough flotation to assist me but not be too much of a crutch. I've improved my form and can get a long workout at the gym when I want to. At this point, I CAN swim the length of the pool. But I still use it because I can swim 30-40 minutes with it on. Without it, my technique isn't good enough and I tire myself out quickly.A good value for the price, my only minor complaint is that the belt doesn't have a clear way to hold excess strap after you tighten it. I tuck it into itself and that works well enough, so this is a very minor issue.

Got this to use while snorkeling in the ocean. While I prefer to snorkel freely this gives peace of mind when the currents are a little rougher or when you're going out for longer periods of time and tire easily. Also great to hold onto and relax in calm waters. It buckles around your waist and doesn't get in the way like bulky life jackets. When snorkeling I buckle it in the back so it is almost like I am resting on the foam.

It’s a great product, it definitely will serve its purpose and that is to just sit inside my kayak. But it is a tight fit to snap around my stomach. I’m 5’4 / 180 pounds. It WILL snap around me but it’s a little snug when sitting down in my kayak. But overall it is a great product!

Purchased this to resume exercising post op cervical fusion. I am female, 5'7", 145 lbs, and give it a 3 star because it doesn't hold me upright unless I am treading in the water which surprised me the 1st time I used it, had to work harder than I was prepared and able to do. The strap doesn't have a loop to secure the excess so I have to tie it.

This worked very well. We use it when our granddaughter plays around in the lake. She is a swimmer, wears a life jacket on the boat and when doing other water activities, but the flotation belt was a nice safe support for her just swimming and lounging around the boat with us. She is 10 years old and 60 lbs, very tall. It fits her well and gives her enough buoyancy to keep her afloat. Much like a noodle,but it is attached to her. She really likes the freedom it gives her.

Perfect! This is my 3rd belt, for water exercise. Love it. It's small enough to allow for movement & maneuverability. I can't swim but I feel very safe in the belt.

My mom never learned to swim and she wanted swim floaties like the ones we have for my toddler. I searched and the closest I could find was this. This is great because it fits nice and test and she feels safe. She's learning to be less and less nervous in the water and this is a great aid for that. Glad I bought this!
