For what it is this amp is outstanding, though I didn't realize it at first. So I pulled it out and replaced it with an Audison 4 channel amp that's 5x the price. The Audison was louder but it didn't sound as good. Matter of fact, the Audison made a loud whirring noise anytime the vehicle was powered up. So I put the Nakamichi amp back in while shop for a more powerful amp. And to my surprise, the sound quality is so much better on this amp. But it NEEDS a preamp equalizer to actually perform at it's potential. Again you NEED a preamp EQ. I'm running the Clarion 7 band equalizer for now The sound quality is so good. Just not enough power for my setup. Worth every penny
