Great product, but has a few negative quirks
This tablet impresses me quite a bit for it being a $400 one. I love how for $400 I got a whopping 128GB flash memory, 4GB RAM, a full Windows 10 operating system (not just a mobile Windows either; it acts as a PC), 2GB graphics memory (according to dxdiag), 4-core processor, and even a keyboard and sylus included. People looking for a surface alternative could consider the ASUS transformer book as a nice alternative. However, there are a couple of quirks that will take getting used to. The touchpad on the keyboard is by far the biggest quirk. The clicking mechanism is different from most other touchpads; to click, you just press down on the pad wherever your finger is. If you try to do what you would on a traditional laptop touchpad with the click buttons at the bottom (left for left click and right for right click), your cursor ends up jumping to another spot on the screen. To remedy this situation, you can do one of two things; use one finger only and simply press the pad when you want to click (the entire pad is clickable, not just the bottom section. However, be aware that the very bottom right corner is reserved for right-clicking). Or, you can simply remove your finger from the pad and then tap the pad quickly and softly. This too will register a click. The second quirk with this tablet is that the stylus is not that friendly for use as a clicking mechanism; don't try to use the stylus to click tiny things. This won't work well, mainly because the screen supports hovering (if you have the stylus close to the screen, but not actually touching, it acts as moving your cursor around). The stylus also cannot be used for scrolling pages; you have to use your finger or the touch pad for that unless you drag the actual scroll bar.The third quirk is that the graphics are sharp, but have an unfortunately visible bevel. The pixels are not anti-aliased that much, so you can see the box-like edges if you're up close to the screen.Other than that, I feel this is a rather solid alternative to a Surface tablet. It's inexpensive and still packs a punch. The battery life is very good, mine lasting about 8 hours of YouTube video watching (on the lowest screen brightness) or 24 hours of casual daily off and on use. You will not be able to run intense games on this tablet; this is not a gamer's tablet. However, this tablet has just enough to quickly and efficiently do productivity related tasks. The quirks are what prevented me from giving this a 5 star rating. But all in all, for a $400 tablet, I am rather impressed.

Stopped working within a month
I have only had my T-102HA for less than a month and it will not turn on unless I continue to hold the power button on. If I release the power button it immediately shuts off. I have never had this kind of product failure so fast after a purchase.Update: I spoke with an Asus customer service representative, explained the problem and he began the process of getting an RMA# for warranty work. He told me that the product was still under warranty and to send it to them for repair. He diagnosed the problem as a battery that was not charging. He said it could be the battery, battery connection or charger. Told me 5 business days to repair. I will update when I get it back.Update2: I received my Asus T102HA-D4 back from repairs within 10 days, really good turn around time. The problem was a "Chip Defect". So I am now hoping that this will be a permanent fix. So far everything seems to be working okay. Seems a little slower for some reason, maybe my imagination. I had purchased this unit specifically for traveling and did not have use of it for two trip, I leave soon for another two trips and hope the fix was permanent. If not, I will be back with update 3.

Nice to look at and hold but DOA
Dead on arrival so I had to send it back. This might indicate an issue with quality. The actual device seemed well made. The keyboard seemed just fine as well. Remarkably light without the keyboard.

High hopes, extremely disappointed with performance
I purchased this tablet with extremely high hopes, I had been looking for a tablet for a long time and this one seemed like a perfect, affordable match for me. Much to my dismay, it completely failed to live up to expectations. I first booted it up, expecting to take it for a spin, but instead I was greeted with 5 hours of updates, and that is not even an exaggeration. When I was finally able to use it, its performance was mediocre at best, simple webpages took a little while to load and testing it next to my 3 year old, overused Asus laptop the laptop won. At first I thought I could deal with the lag, but it became increasingly more annoying and inconvenient as time went on. I bought this tablet hoping for productivity and ended up closing it in frustration every time I used it. To make matters worse, the touchscreen could use some work, its quality is alright, but with the already slow response of the tablet itself, the lag in the touch response only exponentiates my frustration when using it. This tablet had a lot of potential to be a super convenient device- its light, portable, and the hinge is great, I wanted to give it at least 2 stars, but when comes down to it, what really matters is how the device performs, and unfortunately, it completely failed on that end. I really wanted this tablet to be good, but I was sorely disappointed and will be returning this tablet soon.

Great for school!!
Needed a second computer to take for school. Love it. It cannot replace a laptop but if you don't want to lug around a heavy laptop, this is the best thing to purchase! I love my Asus

Very unhappy with this purchase. I bought it with ...
Very unhappy with this purchase. I bought it with the intention of using at as both a tablet and laptop, but if it really fails at both. It was purchased for basic computer/tablet use, nothing special and nothing overly technical, but I've found that I have issues with wireless connectivity, watching videos, downloading apps, and other basics. I find myself using my cell rather than what I purchased this for, because it's less hassle. Not worth the money

It hasn't arrived the color I ordered
I ordered white tablet, for which I paid $400, but it has arrived gray color. If I wanted gray, I would have buy it somewhere else for $50 less... Otherwise the GB of RAM an ROM are OK and overall the tablet is good for the money.

Ok for MS Office
An alright laptop, there are glitches that occur quite often on this device. If not muted, the device will go to maximum volume when opening or when watching a new video. Also requires resetting the wifi to reconnect as it often cannot detect the available networks. It also is quite slow when connecting to internet, download speeds on the this device are incredibly slow (even when on fast networks). The pen also has issues, as it "disconnects" and the screen will not register the pen as being on screen and cannot be used for a time (<5 reconnection time), which are quite aggravating when writing notes as the pen disconnects. With regards to running software, this is excellent for running the MS Office suite and other light softwares.I would recommend this as a budget 2 in 1 laptop for those on the go.

Has issues.
I'm surprised Asus would sell something like this. It's fully acceptable that as a budget device with a basic processor it wouldn't be able to handle multitasking and heavy programs, but in the four months I've had it, it has been very unstable. It locked up on 5 occasions, each time necessitating a hard reset. Disabling voice commands and keeping startup and background processes to a minimum did little to mitigate these issues, and it would be very inconsistent and stutter even during light usage. (Microsoft Suite programs, Google chrome, etc.) Using recording software was out of the question, as it would lead to random dead air and missing audio where the hardware couldn't keep up. This same program ran on a 7 year old budget laptop and the recommended system requirements for it was 'anything that can run Windows Vista and above.' And now, as of a week ago, it won't turn on at all. I suspect it might be the result of a Windows update, but can't know for sure. None of the troubleshooting steps given by Asus' website were effective, as the machine wouldn't run when booted up into its own safe mode.

I like how it has enough space
I like how it has enough space. I did notice it has somewhat slower download rates than my laptop's wifi. Screen is quite bright, fingerprint scanner works surprisingly well. When I try to use a different finger than the one I used to set up the scanner with, it can actually tell, so that's good. Speakers are fairly loud, not much bass, but that's expected. The pull out stand on the back is a little stiff to pull in and out. Also, there's not really a slot or divet to pull the stand out, so you basically have to use your fingernail to get at it. I do like the aluminum backing though, which makes it feel more "high quality" than say plastic. Touchscreen works well, as in it's responsive not delayed. There are two viewing formats, laptop view and tablet view. When you use it in tablet view, if you're using adobe digital editions to read books, it doesn't let you swipe left/right or up/down to turn pages if it's a secured pdf (this could be a software limitation than hardware). As for the touch pen it comes with, nice feel to it, good weight. There are two programmable buttons on the pen I haven't had a chance to figure out. Oh and the keyboard it comes with is great. I was afraid it would be too small for my hand and I'd have a hard time adjusting to the size to type, but I hardly miss a beat. The keyboard sit sort of on an angle, so the whole thing isn't flush with the desk/table. If you're typing, and you push down too hard the keyboard will actually flex. i.e. if you're an "angry" typer, the keyboard might not be the best haha. Comes with one full size USB slot which worked great. I was able to attach a hub to the USB slot and then attached a portable drive and usb drive to that and both were recognized. Cheers!

Not bad at all.
I've had this for a little more than a week now, and I can say that it functions very well as an everyday browsing and working device. It is fast enough to run low end games on it, and it has enough RAM to have multiple tabs or applications running at once. The 128GB of space is plenty, and there is a microSD card slot for you to increase the size. Some negatives I have found with this device is that, the wifi connection can be short. When I use it in a room across the house, it gets very slow and sometimes disconnects. The trackpad that came with this is not the best. It's not the fastest trackpad, and occasionally it would move around when I use two fingers on it.Overall I find this to be very well made for its price.
