Can it be used on glossy plastic trim?

It can be used on any plastic trim, even on a glossy surface. However, I don't think it'll enhance the gloss. It;ll, at best, not make any diffrenece to the type of surface.

Does it offer protection against dust scrapes?

What’s a dust scrape? Done scratches? No

Can this be used on leatherette (sensatec)?
