IBD Just Gel Nail Polish, Sweet Melody, 0.5 Fluid Ounce

I LOVE THE MACAROON COLOR.I have been searching for a subtle pink that I can wear regularly for work and everyday wear. Some pinks are too bold and I also don’t like the ones that have a white base and look pastelly. This one is perfect because it is sheer but has a pretty color.I found this at my nail place but bought one so I can bring it to others and I don’t have to spend time looking at colors and risk not getting the one I want.My picture shows three coats, but 2 is just fine as well.Highly recommend!

I fell in love with this color at one of the nail salons I go to but the other nail salon I like does not carry this product color. So, I called the nail salon and asked for the color and the brand because in their shop it is just called #99. This color is called Mauve Over but to me, it doesn't strike me as a mauve, it looks more like a dark, kinda deep peachy nude and it flatters my skin tone perfectly. I like that it is hard to tell when it has grown out some and I need to get a redo, it is that close of a match to my skin tone. I am so very happy I found this color here. So now whatever salon I go to I can take my own polish in the event that they do not have this particular color. Very happy with my purchase. They do look at me a tad surprised when I pull a gel polish out of my purse, I guess they just figure that normal, ordinary people do not do this, however, I am not just an ordinary normal people, I am and odd kinda different person so I am sure they will get used to it eventually. Sometimes I even take my own pedicure color with me but I always make it very clear that it is my polish and I brought it with me so they do not think I am trying to take theirs. They don't seem to be overly concerned though, after all, they are still getting paid the same amount whether I take my own polish or use one of theirs.

I was disappointed in the color but the quality of the gel polish is fine. From the images, I expected a light green or aqua creme pearl, but this is a clear polish with very fine iridescent glitter powder. I love the color of the glitter but it's almost invisible because of the clear base. Eight coats only got me an extremely sheer, extremely pale mint green, no matter the lighting. Jasper Casper is only suitable as a topper over an opaque color, and I didn't need another one of those.I recognize it's hard to represent colors by image, which is why I wish the manufacturer or seller would include a simple written description, for example, "iridescent glitter in a clear base" would have solved this. Sometimes I can find this information in the reviews, but it would be so much better if this info were available from IBD or on the Amazon product page.

Started doing my own nails during quarantine. This was my first experience with IBD gel polish. The color I code was Ivory Tower. It is a sheer off white with glitter. (Not normally into glitter polish, but this is so subtle it looked nice) The product itself is a nice consistency, so even though it is sheer, it levels out and does not appear streaky. I have had it on for almost a week and haven’t had any chipping. (Opi would have chipped on me by now.) Will definitely try more colors in the future. Photo shows four coats

This is a very different color from what I thought I was ordering, which was a opaque, khaki-dusty rose color. This is much more raisiny, it's got a TINY bit of shimmer to it, and it's very thin. I had to put 4 coats on to get the desired color, which is very similar to the color on the bottle. Shocking, I know.I don't absolutely love the color, but I do like it enough to keep it. It's a good fall/winter color. In the picture on this review, you'll notice I used a matte coat. The pinky only has two coats (oops!) and the other nails I have three coats. You have to give the bottle a good shake and make sure you take polish from a bit deeper down to get a more consistent color.

Wondering how this product got all those 5 stars...Tried using it as suggested - no base and topcoat - lasted a couple of hours then start chipping.Tried no base coat but with topcoat - lasted 1 day, then just peeled off.Tried the normal way - base coat -> polish -> topcoat - didn't make it through the day.My lamp is Sun x 9 max (acquired here on Amazon as well), works great with other products.And no, I wasn't doing dishes, cleaning, or cooking - just normal wear.Waste of time and money, going to return it.

I looove this shade.. it's a mauve-nude-brown color that gies with anything you wear and any jewelry. My only complaint is that you need 3-4 coats to get it completely even and opaque, if you don't mind spending some extra time on your nails .. this color is awesome. If you like this type of colors, you'll love "Mocha pink" also from IBD.. it's a darker version of this one.

I love the ibd just gel polish line. I have numerous colors and the pigmentation and formula are perfect but fancy fingers just doesn't hold up to the others. I received it a few days ago and just used it and after 3 coats it's still sheer. I'm really bummed about this because I thought it was going to be a beautiful blue. The seller and shipping were wonderful and I will continue to buy this brand but as for this color I'm unhappy.

Although the gel itself is amazing, the problem was with the brush of this particular one. The brush was faulty and couldn't use it , had to use the brush from another one. I bought it with huge discount and don't mind so much about been faulty but the fact that the seller didn't mentioned. I'm sure was discounted because of this problem and the seller knew that but didn't bother to mention.

I recently got a UV lamp for my birthday and needed some new colours as the ones it came with were just peeling off within the day. This brand does not disappoint, stayed on for ages but must agree with the previous reviews that it is not a particularly strong colour, wearing it on its own is extremely subtle which happens to be they way I like it given my job but looks best over the top of a bolder colour. All in all a great product.

I’ve used this twice now and each time it has lifted off the nail plate within days. I’m using my same method of prep, foundation and top coat and have not issue with other brands. I like IBD but this is either a terrible batch or fake product. Do not recommend!!

Nice colour, doesn’t creep or need loads of coats. Lasts 3 weeks, no chips etc only have to remove and reapply due to re growth.

Nice nude colour but needs quite a few coats to bring out colour.
