The assembly wasn’t nearly as bad as I had feared based on the reviews. I took my time, I will say there were a few things I had to figure out on my own. As I worked through it I realized there was only one way the large drawer track was going to work so I used my best judgment even though the directions were misleading. I really believe if I could do it anyone can.. fear not. It was easier and faster with two people, I had my daughter help me.I’m pleased with the product as a whole. Works perfectly for I need it for.

Nice piece of furniture for the price. As other reviews noted, it does take a bit to put the thing together, but since I was expecting that going in, everything met expectations. One of the side mounts for the filing cabinet broke during installation, and the company that makes this was awesome to work with. No questions asked, they shipped me a replacement part the next day, it arrived a few days later, and I was all set. Very positive experience for me with the furniture and the company that makes it.

When I first dug out the instructions and skimmed through them, I regretted not heeding the reviews that said how hard it was to assemble! I thought “no way!” However, the next morning I studied the instructions more carefully and realized that they were actually great! It was all diagrams, numbers and letters, very detailed, and each page had the items pictured that you would need for that particular step. So helpful. I did find a couple of minor discrepancies, but nothing that wasn’t easy enough to figure out. The hardware was all separated into little baggies and lettered so you’d know what was what. The entire package was extremely well-packed, with styrofoam around the outside and between the layers, so no wiggle room, and even the top piece had temporary plastic bumpers to protect the corners.I started out by laying out all the wood pieces, identifying and labeling them according to the corresponding pictures. (I did notice later that some of them were already labeled with a tiny sticker on the side edges.) After that it was just a matter of carefully following the step-by-step diagram directions. I was going to do it all myself (73-yr-old woman), but partway into it I realized it would take me forever to put in the multitude of various screws with just a handheld screwdriver, so I called my son and he came with an impact driver and helped me finish it. It all went very well until the VERY LAST SCREW. The hole in the drawer handle just wasn’t big enough. He ended up forcing it by hand, and hopefully it’ll hold.As you can see from my photo, the middle drawer doesn’t line up perfectly (not our fault, since the holes were pre-drilled), but it’s good enough for me. It fits under the arm of my sewing machine cabinet, and I plan to use it to store my serger which I’ll just set on top when I’m ready to sew with it. The shelf height is adjustable, so the serger fits just right.I’m glad I bought this cabinet, and I definitely recommend it!

This item says hammer and screwdriver for easy assemble. .which the holes were not drilled into the ( CORK) cheap wood material. This product took me 4.5 hours to assemble by hand! If you don't have the patience or time .....or an electric drill bit to speed up the process. ....you will mess up the product bc the instructions are not accurate on item either. I was told I could not be issued a refund either and customer care ended the call! Absolutely rude and unprofessional .

This was a doozy to put together, I’m normally pretty good but I got my nephew to do cause once I looked at the instructions my brain exploded, lol, but seriously you need to be very good at putting things together! It was a perfect size for the space we had for it. On wheels, so great to move around, quality it just so/so cause the bottom filing drawer doesn’t close so easily. We paid the cost just for the size but really not worth what their asking!

This was the first thing I ever put together myself so it took me 4 hours by myself. I took my time and made sure to follow the directions. At first the directions were a bit confusing as what to do first but I figured out you will flip back to the first page to see the diagram and everything labeled. I followed all directions and everything went smoothly. The only thing I did modify is at the very end I took off the one wheel for the very bottom large drawer because it wouldn’t shut all the way. Doing this didn’t affect anything with the cabinet or drawers functioning and made the drawer close completely. Absolutely love it

Yes there are a lot of steps to build, but it’s definitely not hard! I’ve never put together furniture alone, but I was able to assemble this in about 2 hours with breaks. Definitely use an automatic screwdriver to save time and have a hammer and scissors handy. Stay organized and make sure you have some floor space to put it together. I had no issues with my drawers closing or things staying level. I like the final product and it’s exactly what I needed.
