Just installed these and they were pretty easy to use and slip on the tree trunk. I have not ranked Durability as I want some time to pass and see how they hold to the weather before ranking this attribute

The material works as expected, stays tight to the tree trunk and prevents furry tailed rodents from chewing on the tree trunk. Evidently squirrels with nothing else to do except steal seed out of the bird feeders will also supplement their dining with young and expensive Japanese Maple Trees.Not any more.

I"ve been using these for years. I bought these Columnar trees and one of them came with one of these on it. I noticed that the rats didn't bother that tree; so, now i have them on all my trees. Even though I live in a nice neighborhood, we do have rats in this area that come up from the creek, no doubt. So, we have to be vigilant in protecting our fruits and vegetables from rats. The rats have trouble climbing up because the plastic is so slippery. I make sure and trim any branches near the bottom and then wrap this around the trunk.

We bought these tree wraps to protect the trunks of our young trees--our cats were using them as scratching posts! It took several attempts before we got the "hang" of installing them, and we had to use thumbtacks at top and bottom to hold the wraps in place, but they're doing the job of protecting the trees from further damage, and the white wraps adds a decorative touch to our lawn. We're pleased with the results.

I bought these white vinyl tree guards not to keep critters away from tree trunks, but to keep the sun from warming the tree trunks in winter/early Spring, & to hopefully help keep fruit trees (apricots, peaches, cherries) dormant as long as possible (zone 5). If white tree guards really work for such a purpose (the theory sounds good), then these particular tree guards certainly should be capable of accomplishing such a goal. They are easy to apply (& to cut with scissors). I like their flexibility - "one size fits all," & they can be wrapped continuously below & above low-lying branches. I have no idea regarding their durability; they are plastic, & like most plastic, will probably become too brittle to use in several years (but then, if they seem to work for their intended purpose, I can simply buy more).I also highly commend the seller (A.M Leonard). There was a problem with the order, but A.M. Leonard went well beyond my expectations in addressing the problem.

It is what it is. Bunnies in the yard haven't chewed through it so its protecting the trees as it should

I installed one on my maple tree. Cutting the grass and trimming I attempt to trim around the tree and the line ripped right through the guard. Waste of money.
