Sorry, writing on this description is going to be quite short since for some reason Amazon decided to delete it after I submitted it :/It's a good device, and performs rather well.Auto focus, optical zoom, support for more than 32GB cards (which is just a firmware issue they should be able to fix quite easily), multiple cameras for depth perception, and many other features would be amazing. However, it's still a budget NVG set, and you can see that in the product. I'm sure Nightfox have considered these upgrades, but aren't doing them due to the cost.However, in my opinion it still seems to be the best budget digital IR NVG's available.

Quite impressed so far, tested in a dark building and the garden. Will be used for filming fire-breathing band instruments and urban exploring in very dark/dangerous/abandoned buildings. I like the ability to alter the intensity of the IR lamp, and the fact it records audio as well as video.

Lots of snags with this item.. Many of them they rave about that just don't work like the manual focus wheel very small movement so god forbid you wear glasses and if you do the vision is all blurry.... not water resistant from what i can tell lots of gaps and holes.... Night vision is very poor and not the quality i have seen on youtube videos i can see better without it..... I am very disappointed in this product as i was looking forward to using them at work and many other activities but im afraid i will have to return them for a full refund......

Weirdly, when you watch back on a laptop the image is much brighter/the object you were watching is better illuminated than it appeared when watching directly. Battery life is not great but overall these are a great bit of kit.

So these are great for sitting in the dark and seeing everything. Unfortunately the IR lights don’t go to the edges so you see a central lit areas but that’s probably due to the magnification being so wide, so the edges are further away. I don’t think anyone could walk in them, maybe with lots of practice but I was tripping over. Picture quality is good, I’d not want less pixels. Also it’s a bit awkward for users who are starting to need reading glasses, I don’t use glasses but I need +3x mag glasses to focus 30mm off my nose which is the screen distance, I expect anyone older than 20 would too. So if you put your fingers in front of your nose and you can’t focus on your third finger then you will need glasses to see the screen in focus. Night fox don’t have any solution for this as yet.
