A marvelous journey to be engaged with, full of adventure , fantasy, love and betrayal. Thank you Farah for this lovely piece of wishful thinking. The series of Avalonian Chronicles could get you so hooked that you can't wait for the next edition. Looking forward to more on Aurora and Rafe !
This is a wonderful series to be hooked to.. Ever since I started reading Last of the Firedrakes - I just can't wait for the next book to be realised. It's a story of love, magic and adventure everything that one needs to believe in a better world with more surprises. Thank you for this little dream ,i had been waiting for one since Harry Potter... Looking forward to the next in line.

5 star... perfect
absolutely amazing and fantastic. As Aurora Firedrake journeys through Avalonia, she takes our hearts with her.Though a mixture of many other novels, the story is very well written and holds you till the end. I must say Farah Oomerbhoy has done a wonderful job. The story, the plot and the characters are very well chosen and written beatifully.Though i must also say the cliff hangers at the end are exciting and at the same time disapointing ( because it is difficult to wait for the next book)AM EAGERLY WAITING FOR THE NEXT BOOK

Actually a fully fledged feast for imagination
Aurora Firedrake is ........ unmentionabely courage ,love, loyalty and life whom the people of avalonia somehow wrapped into a single person. If anyone reads this review, know this-you are stepping into a rush of blood, your heart thumping in your chest and constant vigilance all meant in a good way. This book is all the genres together from romance to mystery and comedy is not forgotten. Magic veils the entire thing. I have never loved a book so much since harry potter.I will be heartbroken if farah doesn't write another book soon.

Analytical Review over the book and how it falls in comparison with Sarah's work
First of all I wanted to thank Ms. Farah Oomerbhoy for bringing Avalonia chronicles to us. The fantasy the author has woven is beautiful and satiates our yearning by bringing us something which is different yet bears the semblance of something we have read along in our growing years.Aurora Firedrake is attaining a great character arc and her character is built really well. In this book except her, I wasnt able to tap in much depth into other characters. Tristan might lure us to want more of him and I ship Tristan with Aurora more than Rafe but I want to see Tristan's character more developed.I found this book in parallels with that of Heir of Fire and The court of mist and Fury (These two are my all time favorites in fantasy fiction especially the latter one) both by Sarah J Mass. The character of Tristan is built as a mix of Rowan of Heir of Fire and Rhysand of The court of mist and fury.Speaking of which I love both these characters--but these characters have too much depth in the stated books. Tristan lacks that.Rafael's character should deepen as well. I thought of getting more of the Black wolf in the second installment.Though, I love how the story is portrayed--Farah is an extraordinary story telller and I see how delicately she has framed this entire series of events. I loved the way Elfi is described and how the clothes of the entire Royal Court and Night Court and Day Court are described. The food and the variety she has illustrarted are wonderful and I can just say one thing---Its a total bomb book for anyone who has loved Fae and the enormity of power they possess. The BOOK HAS AN ANCIENT DRAGON!Thats phenomenal.I loved the way Izadora is portrayed a little less cruel than Mauve of heir of fire but equally clever and conniving. Both the characters are drawn to protect their kingdoms.Though there is a fine line of difference between the two characters.I hope We would get to see more character development in the next book. And the way the story is building I absolutely salute Ms. Farah for this extraordinary story. The story she has detailed in The Rise of the dawnstar is intricate and its not dark with its ending but promises a better world in the next installment.Thats the most commendable closing by the author---I hate to bear the pain of bleak endings as in Sarah's books but here Ms. Farah doesnt bring pain in the end or bleakness but rather a promise of much better future out of darkness.Much Love to the Author and her work.Waiting for the last book ❤️❤️❤️

Sweet story
The fight back story of the dawn-star.Eagerly waiting for the third part .The best part of the story is the powerful word choosing of Farah .I liked the story so much that I have completed the story in one night .The magics are truly magical.but ....... I don't like love triangle story so much .In this type of fantasy story I think that is not required.Overall great experience reading an Indian author .

A phenomenal read
This book and its precedent, The Last of the Firedrakes, are not simply books but a journey - a simply amazing, heart throbbing, and at the same time, beautiful journey. . . .You not only read the words, you FEEL it through the pages. . . . Seriously unputdownable. Hungrily awaiting the next book.

Best book I have read in 10 years. And that's saying something
This, was FANTASTIC book and not only lived up to the expectations I had from the first book "The Last Of The Firedrakes" but it surpassed it. I have not read a book that felt like a rollercoaster in such a long time. Perfect oscillation of suspense and down time, but always the story moving forward and not stalling. In my opinion, as a fellow author, she masterfully blends 1st person POV and 3rd person limited POV. And I am not even sure I have the words to expertly describe this, only to say that if you want to know what I mean then you should read the books. With so many books made only for eReaders, and the ease of having a vast library at the tough of a screen, there are not many books I will buy in hard copy now, let alone purchase the hard copy after reading the eBook or pre-order.That being said, after finishing both books I went online and purchased their hardback companions and when the third book is read for pre-order I will buy that one too.So, what else, caught my attention and kept me captivated?1) Even though the book is 1st POV, she spends enough time in each scene where Aurora is observant enough of the other people she is around to where it feels like 3rd limited POV, without technically leaving 1st person. Because of this the scenes were very well rounded and we got to see a little bit of all out favorite characters.2) it's not just some sappy love story for teens, but a bibliotherpeutically written piece of artwork geared towards positively influence her readers, especially young women. What do I mean by that? I mean, that Aurora, grows, has to make decisions she doesn't want to make and deal with real life challenges that readers can identify with. she makes mistakes, and does her best to move forward in life more wisely and she accepts that people, especially her, have multi-faceted personalities and different situations call for different strengths.3) Her character development, is so spot on that no two characters even resemble the another.4) She doesn't spend too much time on description. Nor too much time in dialogue.5) In today's world, its clean. There are only 2 times where I saw a curse word...appropriately used, "Bit**" and there is no adolescent sex in it, though she does get a few thorough kisses. If you haven't read the books yet, then you're late. And Queen's don't like to be kept waiting.
