Does it come with Adhesive?

No, but you can get a tube of silicon RTV at an auto parts store for like $5. Mine has held up well for the past season without any hint of letting go.

How thick is it in inches

The actual metal is very thin probably less than 1/16 of an inch thick that's all you need you don't need anything heavy just a light gauge to protect from case damage. I used double side tape to install so that leaves a little bit of a cushion also.
