Shopping for knives is no fun! So many choices and so many authorities have their favorites.While Victorinix is never #1, it is often in the top 3-5. And I have a preference for Swiss products, as they have a reputation for quality overall.I did not want to afford a forged knife and I did not want one manufactured in China. This selection was a reasonable balance.I have used all three knives and they are notably, noticeably SHARP!One reviewer complained that the wood in the handles does not match, and that is correct. I found the differences not enough to say anything about. I take care of my kitchen implements and these seem easy to keep clean and sharp.

I own a number of high end cutlery products. I use this product for travel. Eventhough it's pricing is far less the quality , sharpness & ease of use is much better. I bought this set as a starter for my daughter who is just getting into the culinary world.

These knives hardly look like they're from the same set. Completely different looking handles.They were also packaged poorly enough that in transit the knives came loose and cut through the box.I am happy to have good quality knives, but i was hoping to slowly grow a collection of their matching rose wood knives.Not... this.
