The left pages have harder and more extensive text, the right pages have shorter passages and much easier vocabulary. This book provides a good intro to a wide variety of family farms and would make a great read before a visit to a farm.

Great read for earlie reading kids. Great photos too

My child loves the book. She refers to the book for information and managed to put together a fact sheet for her school project (reception year). We enjoy "page you, page me" format. The content is very well balanced, the text scaffolds literacy and vocabulary expansion in young reader. The realistic use of pictures supports child's understanding of non-fiction text.

This is a non fiction book that I was planning to read with my age 6 child. The photos are great and it's easy to understand. My only issue with it is the American language and spelling. It says 'fall' instead of Autumn and 'plow' instead of plough.
