Great for open-ended/building/play
These open-ended wooden block 'happy gingerbread men' (what my kids call them) are providing good old fashioned fun for my two kids (who are 3 and 6 years old). The paint is well coated on each piece and they are bright and attractive to children. The pieces fit into their hands nicely and they are able to stack, connect, and build with them. They also use them in conjunction with other building blocks, and have the 'gingerbread men' walk through their buildings and across their bridges.. it's really cute and I am happy we have these. When I am sitting with them I can casually talk about how many of each color there are, and if one 'goes to the store' how many are left? Or if two come home from school, how many are home now? etc. So many ways to play with these, and they are easy to put away and clean.

Great early childhood toy
This was a wonderful developmental toy for a child! It reminds me of the ones from Discovery toys, only you don't have to host any parties to get it. They are made from sturdy wood and fit together in any number of creative ways. Even my 10 year old was finding ways to make it more challenging. My niece loved this for her little one who will be 3 soon. He actually started playing with these even before the little car set he received.

I wanted to love these, but they are really hard to use
Cute gift and fun concept. My 4 year old was super excited to try them out. But when we tried to actually play with them.... not so much. They are really slippery and hard to balance - even I was struggling to make anything cool with them. Not really much a kid can do in terms of building the cool things in the pictures, and they have not been played with since our first attempt with them. I'd skip this.

Not for toddlers
This product is not for little ones. The figures are not stable and fall all the time and just connect in one way.The figures themselves are good quality and can be used in other games as persons but not for balance and fine motor skills as marketed

Suitable
I was looking for a gift for our kids for the holidays and found this block to be just what we wanted. Because this block is great for teaching motor skills such as sorting and building to kids. This toy will help them learn while they play and my kids love them too!
