HTH42031 1-inch Chlorinating Tablets for Swimming Pools, 5 lbs

We have a Bestway Power Steel pool from Sams that has a built-in dispenser at the filter inlet. It takes 1" tablets only. This was the best value for the amount and has worked perfectly to keep our 9K gallon pool at exactly 1ppm chlorine and pH has stayed at 7.2 on the nose.

I needed chlorine for my dog's pool, and initially bought the cheapest chlorine I could find. What a mistake. They crumbled up and mostly dissolved in a single day, making the chlorine levels in the pool skyrocket. HTH chlorine tabs dissolve much slower and allow me to keep the chlorine levels at an acceptable level. Lesson learned!

I like the smaller size of the tablets. It's easy to pour a couple into the lid and drop into the skimmer or floater without touching them.

Ordered these for above ground pool as no stores had tablets. I had one three inch tablet and it lasted a week, keeping the chlorine level good in our 700 gal intex pool. The container says use four one inch tablets in the float for pools of 10,000 gal, so I used one. Within two days the tablet was gone. The chlorine level stayed good, but I'm constantly adding tablets to keep the level up and the float filled with them.
