Solution to my troubles
I don't like western rigging. I prefer English girths so I bought these to convert my western trail saddle over so I can use a dressage girth instead of the western cinch. What a difference it makes. I've only had them a short time, but I'm so glad I got them.

Great product but needs some tweaking!
So I read all the reviews extensively...I ordered the black and got TWO (a few reviews said they only got one)...They came in great shape but like all the reviews said the straps do NOT fit into the slots regardless of how determined you are. There's no way to easily modify the straps so you have to modify the holes...something the manufacturer could/should easily do. I personally used a jigsaw with new blade and "shaved" the holes a tad longer and a tad wider...it was too narrow both ways. I didn't find the material too stiff as some other reviews said, it bent and shaped fine for me. The pictures are all after my jigsaw handiwork and before actual use on the horse. The straps didn't bulge too much and no doubt will soften up with use...overall they are exactly what I needed just wish they came with bigger slots so the user didn't have to fool with it. Also, they are very attractive and compliment my bareback saddle well!

Saddle Converter Western to English
This is a hard to find item and I needed to replace my 20 plus y/o Cashel converters. I use these on my Bob Marshall Endurance Sportsaddle. Unfortunately this item is a complete waste of time and money. The material is hard as thick cardboard. The entire converter it feels like really cheap PU and is furthermore backed with rough and thick nylon. The slots for the straps are too narrow and it's impossible attach this item to any saddle. I even tried grasping the end with pliers, to no avail. I have returned this item and purchased a real leather set (3x the price, but you get what you pay for) from a German saddlery.

Worked perfectly!
Great answer to repairing billets on my endurance saddle. Work perfectly as advertised.

Stiff
They were very stiff and the straps would not go through the slots. I made the slots bigger and was able to make them work.

Only one in the package
Just to let people know, the black come as a single converter NOT a pair!

Makes saddling easier with arthritic knuckles
Using a girth with elastic ends and a fleece cover. It’s easier for me to snug up a buckle than to poke the latigo in and out of rings, repeat, adjust, repeat. Less painful. Less damage to my joints.Only one thing to know. I have a Tucker saddle with two D rings in front and one on the back. I use the front two. This cants the girth at a slight angle so that tightness isn’t evenly distributed front to back. It’s always half a hole off. I plan to add some holes in between for more adjustability.
