We are native american and flute music is important. This is the closest thing to being on the reservation. My son loves new musical instruments and he has taught himself how to play this. He inspired me so much that I bought one for myself.

I always want to have one, now my dreams comes true, now it's time to practice, I love the ceramics smell lol

It came in a nice box and had all the listed items. The ocarina was cool to the touch. The little booklet had pictures to show you where to put your fingers for the notes, which definitely makes learning how to play easier. It has some care instructions, but it doesn't tell you how to attach the string to the ocarina. It does give advice on air techniques to help you play. All in all, happy with my purchase.

If put the string into the hole to hang it on your neck, you will find out that it is not ceramic at all- the string can break the hole in a few minutes. Your nail can easily scratch it.

The ocarina is pretty, nice weight nice sound but my hands are not big enough to cover all holes at the same time.

It looks and sounds beautiful. Perfect for a Legend of Zelda cosplay piece, or just to have. Be careful for these are very fragile, so take care of this piece

Got this for my son for his birthday and he loves it. Honestly had never heard of this thing before about two months ago and when I found this relatively inexpensive one, I jumped at it. There was a little song on the box for practice and he was playing it before the day was over

I don't know if it's really for kids, maybe the older ones like 12+, because it's made in ceramic and will break if you drop it. Also, the fingers need to be long enough to get all the holes right. That said, the sound is wonderful, rich and quite easy to make. Once you know where the notes are, you can play anything you want. I don't know why I waited that long to get an Ocarina, but I'm really glad I bought this one.
