My mother was especially taken with it mixed with a loose leaf green tea (dragon herbs jasmine green tea pearls to be exact). I did not expect that. She said it was easy on her digestion. This organic eleuthero root is a lovely, organic herbal product. It smells gently of fresh wood, but not in a weird way. It smells and tastes mild and pleasant, and its health benefits are well worth the price. Eleuthero is an adaptogenic herb, meaning it combats the damaging effects of stress, and replenishes a depleted nervous system. It's uplifting and energizing, helps relieve mental and physical fatigue, and restores mind-body balance. Eleuthero is an excellent herb to use in restorative herbal blends, great for those who suffer from chronic fatigue syndrome, Fibromyalgia, auto-immune disorder, depression, anxiety, chronic stress, and injury. I can't properly express how beneficial this herb is for our bodies. I work with herbs every single day, and this is one of my favorites to use in my tea blends! The only small issue is that these are like little pieces of very hard bark. I cannot easily grind them up or break them into smaller pieces. The pieces are uneven, some being tiny, and others being larger. This makes it a bit more difficult for me to use it in my herbal tea blends, since they won't distribute as evenly as I'd hope in the empty teabags I fill. Otherwise, great herb and dependable company.

I feel great when I use this as a tea.

This eleuthero root is good quality. It is sometimes difficult to tell with eleuthero initially, because it does not have a vivid color or smell. But a decoction of it is lovely... a little bitter and pungent as it should be. I add it to my decaf coffee in the morning to give me (and my immune system) a little boost.
