Supplements are hard to review because there are no outward signs that they are doing their job. I take Selenium for my Hashimoto's Hypothyroidism. In the many books that are written about this disease, it has been recommended that taking 200 mgs of Selenium along with Vitamin E is beneficial for the conversion of the Thyroid hormones T4 to T3. I cannot attest that this is occurring within my body as this is an insidious disease which is monitored by bi-yearly blood labs. So, 2 x's a year I find out whether my Thyroid is behaving normally. Thorne has a good reputation amongst the Thyroid sufferers out there.

I decided to add Thorne Selenium to my daily route for GI and immune support. I researched selenium can support the intestinal lining. I suffer from IBD so I decided to give it a try. Selenium is usually added to multivitamins but I stopped taking a multivitamin years ago. I do not know if the additional of this product was beneficial but it certainly did not hurt. Thorne is a brand I trust for it's quality supplements and ingredients.
